Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us! Discovered last week that my tight hips/angry IT band/back pain etc are being caused by my calf (thanks massage therapist!). Now working on that. Had my last swim clinic and worked on open water stuff - it was good practice but reminded me that I have a loooong way to go. I get super anxious when everyone is swimming around me.
Any AW's or brags? We want to know! It was super nice out on Sunday so I got to bike OUTSIDE! It was super windy on the way out and smooth sailing on the way back, such a glorious day.
Bonus - What's your last H&F purchase? Anything you're saving up for right now? I bought a pair of cold weather tights that I ended up sending back because they didn't fit. Right now I am saving/shopping for a wetsuit.
What are you training for and/or goal you're working towards? Date? Nothing. There is no race season.
What’s your schedule for the week? Easy rides: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wed. Yoga Thursday Yoga or easy ride Friday Off Sat. TBD maybe a walk
Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us! Getting diagnosed with a heart condition has shut my training down for an undetermined period of time. It could be months or longer.
Any AW's or brags? We want to know! I do get to ride at a super easy pace for an hour (think 10 mph)
Bonus - What's your last H&F purchase? Anything you're saving up for right now? Does a hospital stay and lots of medical tests count?
What are you training for and/or goal you're working towards? Date? I'm not trained well at all but a 50k at the end of March!
What’s your schedule for the week? Mon: 30 min speedwork Tues: Strength Wed: 30 min speedwork Thurs: 10 miles after work ugh Fri: rest Sat: strength Sun: rest-it should be a long run but my husband works
Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us! I only wanted 4 miles last thurs but my running group runs in an old run down mental hospital, mostly abandoned buildings. It's so haunted. Why do they do this! I know it's bc it's the only safe course near the running store. I have a really, really hard time with it. It's dark and there are ghosts everywhere. There are also still patients around too. It connects to a light security prison as well. The ladies I ran with went for 8 and the whole time I was like...SHIT I can't run back by myself, so.......so I did 8. I was hungry.
Any AW's or brags? We want to know! Not really
Bonus - What's your last H&F purchase? Anything you're saving up for right now? Tomorrow I plan to buy new shoes during a staff meeting. I buy out of season 361 degrees through rogans online. Also! I bought Aftershokz! I bought the titanium but they were way too big so I returned them and got the titanium mini. It's only a 6 hour battery life though and my ultra will take me 8-9 hours,

Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us! I'm job searching right now and it's exhausting! I'm guessing we're a week or two away from schools closing and teleworking. Ugh...not looking forward to that. No idea what we are going to do for spring break. We're supposed to go to FL.
Any AW's or brags? We want to know! I had a really solid swim yesterday. All my drills, practice, and lessons are starting to come together. I'm excited.
Also I did the Sheetz to Sheetz run on Saturday. It was 14 miles from one Sheetz to another and the longest distance I've done since my 50 miler. It was an untimed race that was on a rail trail, but I came in second female so that was kind of cool. I didn't get anything for it. But the race gave away Sheetz travel mugs and free Sheetz sandwich. Overall I enjoyed it.
Bonus - What's your last H&F purchase? Anything you're saving up for right now? I spent some money on a bike fitting and a new saddle. Nothing too exciting. Someday I'm going to get a new bike, but I'm still a little ways away from that happening.

What are you training for and/or goal you're working towards? Date?
RNR DC Half 3/28* Pittsburgh half 5/3*
*Will either of these even still happen?
What’s your schedule for the week?
Monday: rest Tuesday: 4 miles Wednesday: 6.5 miles of intervals Thurs: 5 miles Fri: rest Sat: 5 miles Sun: 15 miles
Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us! I'm concerned my spring races will be canceled. THEY SHOULD BE, but I would like to know now so I can stop hard core training. I'm tired. I know, #firstworldproblem.
Any AW's or brags? We want to know! Eh, not so much this week.
Bonus - What's your last H&F purchase? Anything you're saving up for right now? I desperately need a new gym bag. I'm currently using my Lo & Son's OG bag, which is perfect for this, but I really need it to go back to being my work travel bag. And I don't want to spend over $200 for another one. Any one have one they want to recommend?
Thanks, ya'll! I have been diagnosed with myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle. The GOOD news is that there is no damage to the heart. My cardiologist suspects it is viral although the virus is usually long gone by the time myocarditis is diagnosed. I'm off the bike for at least 3 months and probably will not have a race season. My cycling team has been great and very understanding. I'm limited to walking as much as I want, yoga, tai chi, and similar things.
I am looking into riding horses again as well. I miss my bikes....
Late entry... Well I WAS training for RNR DC Half. It's cancelled. So I guess I'm now training for...uhh...a century in May? Assuming that still happens. Im planning to finish the half training plan and just run the distance with friends. Such small potatoes in the grand scheme but I'm bummed. It was my first real half.
M-rest Tues- ran 4 Wed- plan said 8. Still haven't figured out how to do that on a weekday morning so 5. Thurs- bike tonight Fri- rest Sat- run 5,swim Sun- run 11, swim mini-clinic
Sad I don't get to do my race. Looking forward to the swim lesson thing on sunday- it's a video swim eval/minilesson with my little tri-crew (h, mama, tribestie, CrossFit friend). A little nervous to see myself swimming. I fear it'll be like listening to myself on a recording.
And it's a group of less than 25 in a place full of chlorine so no covid19 cancellation risk!
sadlebred I hope you rest as hard as you train and your heart is as good as new soon.
Riding horses would be a nice consolation prize!
campermom WHO RUNS THROUGH SOMETHING SO CREEPY!! I love how matter of fact you were. There's ghosts everywhere. Also a prison. And some patients still?
I'm so sorry to hear that sadlebred! Hugs and hair pats to you as you adjust to this new normal. We're here if you need to vent, scream, cry, talk it out, whatever.

Is this an actual horror movie?
I know! I grew up here and when we would be outside in PE we would get called in because there was an escaped patient. Or if there was helicopters we knew someone got out. It’s mostly not functional now which makes it terrifying. My group said they run and I was like...w..t...f ok? I’ll join you? But don’t leave me!
My grandmother was a nurse there so I pray she looks over me. But there are secret underground tunnels!!!!! Check out my run from last Thurs and you’ll see
