I do OrangeTheory (8x/month) and last went on Tuesday...I am canceling my scheduled classes for next week and probably for the next several weeks or so. I don't want to, but think it's for the best to keep with social distancing. My gym uses a ton of wipes and is very clean but the people working out next to you in class are the wild cards. My gym mentioned doing a 3G format with a 2G number of participants to spread people out more, but I doubt it will be enough. I can run and do my own weights/body weight exercises at home. Thoughts? Are you still going to the gym/group workouts?
UPDATE: Thanks for all you input. Today, the Ohio governor closed all gyms and rec centers. I think that's a good move. Stay safe!
Probably not. Although my boyfriend is there right now so he'll bring home whatever is there. Boo.
I'm at an Anytime fitness and there's a lot of wipes. So maybe if I go at weird hours or something... For the most part I'm just going to run outside. I was sort of overdoing it lately anyway and needed to take a step back.
Nope. I did think ahead at Target on Friday and bought some 5 and 8 lb dumbbells. Got the last ones. Edit: I have a treadmill and resistance bands. Depending on when H gets home each night I can still run trails.

My gym is still open (YMCA) at this point. I swam yesterday and will probably try to swim tomorrow am. I am not going to classes. I have a feeling they are going to close at some point this week.

I'm still not decided. I went to a cycle class yesterday morning and even though I always wipe my bike down and have a towel on my handlebars, it still was giving me anxiety with people so close.
I do a small group training class with a trainer 3x a week and I will probably still go to that since there are usually only 3-5 people and we can space ourselves out.

No I’m not. Both me and my SO put memberships on pause. I was using classpass and was mostly going to CrossFit and a treadmill class. Of course everyone is saying they’re cleaning extra, but I don’t care, it’s still somewhat close contact with people and lots of hand touching.
No, and I don’t plan to go back anytime soon. I actually hadn’t been there for a little while because two weeks ago I got a bad cold and felt like crap, and then I ran trails with friends a few times. I was planning to run outside more with better weather and what would have been half training, but now it’s also because it’s basically the only time I plan to leave the house in the foreseeable future because I’ve locked us down. I’m also doing yoga inside. It’s day three for me, which isn’t saying much, but so far, so good.
My Y is still open. Am not planning to go. I can still run and bike and do weights here, so swim is the only thing I can't do.
Tempted to go by myself and touch as little as possible...like strip off street clothes on the pool deck, put clothes back on top of wet suit and off I go. But...my races, assuming they happen, aren't till August. I'll just wait. And run extra.

I went to yoga today, the studio owner limited class size so there can be at least 3 ft of space between everyone, and you're only allowed to use whatever equipment you bring with you. However, after class 2 people were talking about grabbing lunch, like going to eat at an actual restaurant. So I'm out for a while. I'm not ok being around people who are ok with doing that.
It sucks too because I'm doing yoga teacher training and we're supposed to go to at least 3 classes a week, but it's not worth it. I keep hoping she'll close the studio and offer virtual classes.

Quoting myself....my gym (large national chain that I happen to work for - PM me if you want) just announced they will be closing.

Our yoga studio shut down. The county rec centers shut down too, but pretty much all of the other gyms are open. I really wish they would just shut down everything.
Ohio. My last day at the yoga studio and my H’s last day at the gym was Friday. Both were going to limited classes until the governor shut down fitness facilities. Now, yoga studio is offering limited streaming classes and gym is loaning out equipment and posting home workouts.
I also do OTF 8x/week. I had 3 classes left this month and cancelled them all on Sunday night. I was happy to see they decided to shut the doors and freeze our accounts. And bonus (although I haven’t checked it out yet) is I guess they’re putting workouts up on the app that you can do from home? I may try that out later.
