opinions? bathroom fixture finishes

We have a bathroom on our main floor and the shower door handle and fixtures are chrome, as is the sink faucet. Would it look weird to get a brass framed mirror and light fixture?

Here are some photos of the bathroom--it's pretty small and hard to take pictures! But the shelf over the toilet is coming down. We put it up because when it was being used as a guest bathroom there was nowhere to put anything other than on the back of the toilet. But it makes the already small room feel smaller, so now that we have an actual guest bathroom, I'm happy to be taking it down.

I'm going to paint in Bella Blue from Benjamin Moore.

I was researching this for my bathroom reno and it's fine! As long as the finishes are in different color families. So don't mix nickel and chrome b/c they're too close so they look like an unmatched mistake.

I know mixing metals is big right now, but I'm not a fan. I think in a small bath like yours, it would look best to have the same throughout. It is in though, so if you like it, go for it.

The only thing that gives me pause is the chrome shelf right next to it. I would switch that to another material.

I would keep the chrome shelf, and just put a couple of brass accessories on it to help tie things together.

oh, the shelf definitely going. I hate that thing and we don't need it anymore. I can't wait to take it down!
