DLR and WDW resort closure update

Yeah I am not shocked the extended bit do find it interesting they have just said until further notice.

It does look like the CMs at DLR will be getting paid through April 18/19. They might not taking in revenue with the parks being closed but all of us AP holders are still being charged if we are on a monthly payment plan so there is more than enough $$ to pay the CMs.

It is interesting that there is no end date. Have any of the parks opened back up yet?

Looks like the reservation system for WDW isn’t allowing anything before June 1. Not sure if that is a Disney glitch or what so who knows. Disney is offering a new promo for current guests for that have travel dates during the closures.

I just cancelled my Disney hotel reservation for April 10th like a day before they announced the extended closure. Ugh.

I also bought some Disney stock right before they announced the closure.

I'm losing with Disney all around right now haha. Oh well.

In CA the Governor’s Shelter In Place order has no end date, so most companies and school districts aren’t even putting one out there. It’s out of our hands and up to the state, and they supersede the city and county orders (City is SF last said May 1).

Thank you. I looked into it further and it's during the hottest months. Not too excited about that. I don't do well in the heat.

TamiTaylor, Have you heard anything on Disneyland Paris? We have reservations there for June, and when I hunted their website, I saw no way to get a refund, just a credit for a future stay. I'm not confident in rebooking anything at this point, even for next year. I'd been hoping for a refund.

I have not heard a ton. I imagine the closure will be extended beyond what it is now. I know they are doing vouchers for the cost of a new trip for 18months if your trip is affected but I think it’s a really fluid situation and if the closures extend I would imagine they would do something beyond that. Again that is just my pure speculation.
