I’m looking for a new dining table and buffet (either long or tall, but probably more like a long sideboard). I know I want a rectangular table that extends, preferably with self-storing leaves. I also need a chandelier for it. I have looked everywhere and can’t find something that I love. Spam me with your favorites!! Idk what our actual style is but I like things that are warm, welcoming, and beautiful. My Modsy style quiz came back as a mix of transitional, classic formal, and Hollywood glam which seems pretty good. I am not interested in a farmhouse or modern style (although I love a bit of MCM flair!).
I finally received my Pottery Barn Hart table and I love it. It has self-storing leaves, but it's a round shape and extends to an oval. And might be slightly farmhouse looking (I'm not personally into farmhouse look).
eta: I'm still searching for a buffet/sideboard, too. The matching one to this table is nice but I don't want to spend that much money.
I had a hard time finding something when I went through this. We ordered Canadel through a furniture store. Their website is kind of bad, but you can choose different styles, colors, etc. to customize to your taste. I got Canadel b/c I could get a really big table, which we wanted/needed for a large space, and also b/c the finish is very durable. WE have one huge dining space so this is our table for every day use and for holidays, etc. We got a lightly distressed style which is even better for hiding kid marks. I did not want anything with grooves between boards, b/c I feel like mac & cheese and milk drips and crumbs would always be stuck in there. Ours is from the Champlain line. Our particular one IS kind of farmhouse-y (totally goes with our house), but they have several styles.
We do not have self-storing leaves. I wanted that, but for our size table it didn't seem to be an option anywhere. Our leaves attach to the ends of the table very easily. We put them on every time we have a party or have people over. We keep them under our bed when not in use and that works fine.
We have been very happy with it and it's held up extremely well so far (I think we got it two years ago).

We have this chandelier and I love it. It is the culmination of 3 years of looking for one DH and I both loved that wasn't too big. We left a wood twist chandelier at our first house and regretted it. If we ever move, we are taking this one with us! We have linen chandelier shades on it now. I'm looking for some wicker ones for summer.
Our sideboard is a tall maple one with spool legs (kind of Jenny Lind-like) and a black stain. We had it made and I can't find a picture of something similar. Both pieces are clean-lined and would go with lots of styles - although they are pretty traditional.
Our table is a maple farmhouse table with black Windsor chairs.
That sideboard is perfection! Do you know which IG you saw it on?
I was trying to find it to link to the photo I saw because the room was so great, but I just checked like 5 different designer pages and didn't see it. Now I'm wondering if I actually saw it in some advertisement
I couldn't find a sideboard I liked enough so I had one custom made but a local company. It actually wasn't any more expensive than buying from Room and Board type place. And I got to design exactly what I wanted.
