He’s the sound track to our remote camping trips. I’m so sorry to hear this. My husband is an audio engineer and spent some time working in Nashville. He was supposed to have a concert in our area in June and Dh commented last week he would love to see him before he quits touring or passes. I hope he recovers.

H and I saw him two years ago. We are both sad over the news. He has had a rough go the last several years with health. I wish him and his wife (also diagnosed) the best recovery possible.
Aw, we played his song In Spite of Ourselves at our wedding reception. (It raised some eyebrows). I hope he fully recovers.
My cousin used it as her first dance. They cut out a verse.
H and I just played it.
When he was playing at the Ryman he had multiple people come out. Todd Snider came out and played a few songs. Then later in the set John called him back out. Todd did the female role.
Damn that was a great night. Shovel and Ropes opened for him.
We saw him a few years ago and it was honestly magical. His last song, at the end, he put his guitar down and danced around it and danced right off stage. It was pure joy. I cried a little reading Brandi Carlisle’s post to him on Instagram.
