Lonnie Dench's wife mistakenly invited a stranger to Thanksgiving dinner thinking it was her grandson and they ended up spending the next 4 Thanksgivings with him. Wanda (the wife) and Lonnie were both diagnosed with COVID19 and sadly he didn't make it

No obituary, but my good friend's step dad died yesterday. He had been in ICU on a ventilator for week or so. He was such a kind man and I'm heartbroken for her and her family.
Friend's mom is also sick, but thankfully has been able to manage at home.

Linda Tripp died on the 8th. Monica Lewinsky had a very classy tweet regarding it (while she was hospitalized but before she died later that day.) Basically along the lines of “It doesn’t matter who they are or what they’ve done. Nobody deserves this. Her family must be in pain right now. I wish her well.”

Linda Tripp did not pass from COVID-19
My understanding is that she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the week before she died. So sad for her kids.

The head of the emergency department at a Manhattan hospital committed suicide after spending days on the front lines of the coronavirus battle, her family said Monday.
“She tried to do her job, and it killed her,’’ Dr. Philip Breen told the New York Times of his physician daughter, Dr. Lorna Breen, who had been medical director of the NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital amid the pandemic.
This woman was from my area and the local story that ran about her was something else. She seems like an amazing and gifted person. Such loss. And people can’t be bothered with masks.
Wilson Roosevelt Jerman, 91, was one of the White House's longest-serving employees, working in various positions, including cleaner, doorman and butler from 1957 to 2012.
"I want the world to remember my grandfather as someone who is really authentic," Jerman's granddaughter, Jamila Garrett, told FOX 5, the local Fox affiliate in Washington, DC.
She said that he taught his family to "always be yourself" and that is "what we will continue to carry on through his legacy".
Garrett said her grandfather started in the White House as a cleaner under the administration of Dwight D Eisenhower. He was promoted to the butler position under former President John F Kennedy after developing a good relationship with First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Garrett told FOX 5.
