Would you bother getting this fixed

We had our front steps redone several weeks ago. On the top landing one of the stones is slightly askew. The surface is flat so there’s no tripping risk or anything.

DH sent the contractor a picture right when we noticed it which was only a few days after they finished. He said he would come by to look at it but we haven’t heard back since then. Then with all the shutdowns we just never followed up. I guess I just don’t want to be annoying because I’m not sure this is an easy fix and I doubt I’ll notice once we have a railing put in and it won’t bother me long term. Part of me feels like I don’t want any flaws bc we paid a lot of money but part really doesn’t care.

We really liked the other work he did and planned on using him for future projects.

It's hard to get a sense of scale from a picture but it looks barely noticeable to me.

That is one of those things that I can easily ignore but which drives DH batty. Based on our current experience with our builder and tile guy they will do nothing to fix it. People don’t generally look down so I can guarantee no one but you will notice. Sorry!

Will you have plantings on the side? In that case I think you would *definitely* not notice it.

We will plant something eventually, good point. These responses are making me feel better so far!

Also, if you plan on using him for future projects, I guess you could always ask then and he might be a little more motivated to fix it while he's already there getting new business. To me it looks like it's off by just the width of a grout line...not sure if he can just grind down the side a little or if it would look weirder.

I agree with these two. in the picture its hard to see and if you plan on covering it, or if not you can.

I probably wouldn't get it fixed, but then it would bother me forever.

FWIW, it was the first thing that I noticed when I saw the photo....before I actually read the post.
