Does anyone still use the Square Foot Gardening method? I did it at our last house, with varied success. I’m now going to purchase some raised beds, and I’m trying to decide what to put in them.
I was just planning to buy the pre-mixed Mel’s Mix, to avoid having to shop around, but I’m having a hard time finding it.
I think we’re going to start composting, too...but I know that has a decent learning curve. At least I’ve got time to research it now!
I always grew up forming rows and planting there. Recently I've switched to raised planters. Obviously less room but I still can grow well, I see myself going back to rows in future. I composted in high school for FFA and used different animal's waste that we raised as fertilizer, but don't now and just buy what I need online.
Have you seen seedsheet? I just saw an ad for it yesterday but it seemed really interesting. It’s a weed barrier with the seeds built in that you just lay over your container or garden bed. I have a black thumb but it seemed like a great idea to try.

No, I haven’t! We just got around to starting some seeds inside this week, but if they don’t come up (likely), I’ll have to check that out!
