Hi there! New to these boards...wanted to do a quick intro before I post a question. So, Hello!
First, I'm not pg yet, haven't officially started TTC. That will be in 2 months. So, who knows when we'll get lucky, though we know of no "reasons" why we wouldn't.
I'm 28, DH is 31, we're financially, emotionally, and physically healthy and happy. In the best place we could be to TTC, and because I'm a huge planner, I'm already researching what's going on in the world of babies these days.
Which is why I'm here! DH and I are pretty conscientious. We do all the normal stuff, compost, reusable bags, urban garden, etc, so this seems like an easy enough extension in theory. We're also financially smart, sooooo cloth diapering/bio degrade diapers combo has come up as an excellent option.
Is there any recommended reading or products you ladies would suggest I look into as we decide how to go about it?
I know it's silly to look into this before we're even pg, but I'm really curious and interested in how much money is saved, how much more work it might be, products available, recommended brands, etc. And why did you ladies choose to do it??
I chose to cloth diaper because it just seemed to make sense. It's cheaper. It's less garbage. If disposable really made sense, we'd all wear disposable clothes and call it a day.
