have I been drinking or do half of them look dirty? (I mean I totally have been drinking, but is that the reason they look like that)
I’m so hard on my shoes, for $300-500 how long will they last? If I had that money to spend, I’d get that opal ice machine that makes sonic ice. #priorities. Lol.
Eta: I abstained from voting since I’m sure never in my life will I own a pair of $500 sneakers.

I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
I have a friend who loves them and only has them because her husband bought them as a birthday gift. I don’t know all the trends, but she does and it’s her thing to be ahead of the trends in our midwestern suburb. That said, I had NO IDEA they were that expensive and do not get it.

I wonder how many of the people who voted “no” actually have a pair or are just reacting to the price.
If I wanted to splash out on luxury sneakers, Golden Goose probably wouldn’t be the ones I’d pick. They’re kind of one of those joke brands (“Look, I spent $550 on dirty sneakers!”) and I prefer the look of the more understated, buttery leather ones, like Greats or Koio, which are also half the price.
Then again, good on you for feeling like you have money to burn these days!
Never heard of them, but I don't see myself ever spending that kind of money on sneakers (or any kind of shoes, for that matter).
It's only been a recent thing where I was willing to splurge $100 for a pair of shoes so it's probably going to take me another several decades before I'd consider any major price jump from there.
Eta: I'm no stranger to fancy kicks. I have Loubs, Manolos, etc. and other pricey heels I never wear and tryin' to sell on Poshmark. But $500 for dirty sneakers? Gross.
I have them. I love them because I can wear them everyday and I don’t worry about scuffing them or getting them dirty, unlike other pricey shoes. I don’t mind wearing them on the playground with my kids. It’s much more conducive to my lifestyle right now.

You’re...still taking your kids to the playground?

I mean. If I were to spend $500 on shoes, they’d be shoes I wear every damn day versus a fancy pair of heels or boots that I’ll wear a few times per season.
But I wouldn’t ever spend $500 on a pair of shoes. And I don’t think that 53 people here did and regret it.
Huh. I had to look them up. As the first site that came up was Nordstrom, if i hadn’t read this post first, I’d think this is another of their whacky finds that no one would actually buy.
I don’t get it. If i were hearing their comfort was unreal, ok. But without that - i don’t get it. They aren’t cute.

I’m assuming (hoping?) she means “right now” = parent of young kids and not “right now” = mid-plague

I would spend that for perfect everyday sneakers if they fit comfortably and I loved how they looked. However, those aren’t cute IMO, so I wouldn’t spend it on those. Just not my style.

Until I just googled these, I had no clue what they were. Now that I’ve seen them, I know several friends have them and I’m shocked they spent 500 on those lol. I thought they were cheap looking.
I like some of them, but wouldn’t consider purchasing them at that price point. They are very much on trend with the SAHM’s in my area. If you like them, go for it! I don’t think they are magical or anything - very much paying for the name.
I love $$$ shoes, but I’m dead at $500 sneakers that already look like you’ve owned them for a year, so you don’t mind getting them dirty and wearing them to the playground. OMFG. Buy 5+ pairs of the original Converse or Stan Smiths that these ripped off in the first place.
On point. The moms here wear them with long floral skirts. It's so ugly together. I admit I love anything with stars on them but would never spend that much $$$ on a status symbol.
