Corks?

I have sooo many wine corks. Probably 10+ gallon ziplock bags full. 

I made a memo strip with them (cut several in half length-wise, hot glued to a yard stick), but cutting them is a super-pain. 

I can’t ever seem to find projects to do with them, so they just sit. Has anyone done fund stuff with corks?

I made a cork wreath last fall. It’s huge and heavy and generally turned out ok. Lots of drilling holes, toothpicks and hot glue. I would recommend a smaller size if you decide to try it. A few have fallen out and it’s a bit delicate.




Years ago, I picked out some sentimental ones and framed a grouping in picture frames, again hot gluing (onto the glass). A similar frame idea could be used as a cork board.

How about a bathmat or kitchen mat? Lots of cutting, but this tutorial shares an idea about boiling the corks to make them easier to cut:

Another pinterest idea - you could spell out "wine" in whatever room you store your wine bottles, using the corks.
