I'm in the process of working on the two bigger spools we have, one is turning into an outdoor dinner table for the back deck, the other is turning into a game table for the basement.
I'm putting them both on casters/feet so that they don't ruin the carpet/deck boards and are easy to move. I'm going to try to trim 4-6" off of the bottom so that normal chairs can slide closer but thats looking like a pain since there are a TON of nails. So the other option is a flat bottomed chair that can slide under the edge of the table.
So lets do an internet treasure hunt. I need chairs/stools with this type bottom:
Or this:
I'm open on style and color, my main goal is to get something as cheap as possible. I found the perfect chair but they were $450 EACH, and this chick doesn't make enough money for that.
Those could work if I can flip the seat! If I can't find anything cheaper (doubtful) and they are the right height I might order one and see if its possible.

I think you can flip the seat. i see the bolt at the underside which indiates it screws on. I just dont know if that could cause the seat to tilt forward. But great option.
