I think I need to get a new thermostat and am curious if I should get a regular one or a smart one. I have two (one runs most of the upstairs and the dead one runs the basement and dining room (weird). I don't really want to replace both.

DS failed the first semester of English so they're offering "summer school" at the same time as the end of this semester so he may not need to do class in the summer. Yay for more school work.

I have court today and we all appear on Zoom. I'm all business on the top and wearing polka dot cat lounge pants lol.

I'm going to have 4 zoom dance classes today. We'll see how it goes! Some of these routines I haven't practiced in over a month.

This week at work was a bit brutal emotionally. Critical incident debrief, assessing some very depressed people, including one that was a very sensitive case, and lots of OT. I had two calls back to back yesterday (as in, I was heating up my food as soon as we got back from the first one and the second call came out. So I ate in the car on the way. I worked until almost midnight last night, so I'm really tired today.

I went out a few times with a guy I met a few months ago. We were planning another date right before all this started so obviously that was put on hold. But we kept talking/texting and I was starting to like him. Welp, last night he sent me a video of himself masturbating....couldn't actually see his penis but it was obvious...

We'd been flirty but NOTHING to indicate this would be something I'd welcome.

...Will someone please explain to me why men think this is a good idea?? Seriously, if you have a theory I'm all ears.

Yeah, that's one of my thoughts as well.  Also, there must be women out there who play along and maybe even like it or they'd stop, surely.

Gross kaneen. Why is it so hard for men to have a clue about what women want?

I am going okay, going into work about twice a week to get some office stuff done and pick up more work for home. It’s tough to work at home, but easier than being at work because the few people that are there are so salty about having to show up there. All they do is bitch, it’s exhausting to listen to. My work couldn’t make it more safe for people to show up and out of 65ish employees, only 10-15 or so are in the office at one given time.

Our governor just announced an extension to the stay at home order until at least May 8. I’m glad to have another week working from home. I feel lucky I’ve gotten an extra month with my baby, especially now that she’s growing so rapidly and really turning into a little person with a personality. It’s going to be a tough day when I have to take her to daycare. 😭😭 I had no idea I could love someone so much and that she would bring so much love and joy into our lives.

and Im so bored I make myself cook something I have never made before everyday. I usually end up throwing half of it in trash because there is no one to eat it. Yesterday I made pretzel bread (it was yummy) today potato leek soup. But this is not enough to keep me busy very long.

I donated blood yesterday to a study about Covid-19. Since I had it and have recovered I get to be research. If my plasma has what they are looking for I'll go back and donate that. I figured I got sick, If I can help in anyway I should.

Auditions this year for the MVC will be virtual.
A bunch of us alumnis are usually involved in the prep clinics but this year there obviously won't be any.
So we could all still gtg and "see" each other, we had a virtual Barre class last night. We did Barre for 50 minutes and then gabbed for 2 more hours.

It was fun and just what I needed.

kaneen, that’s crazy, unsolicited I would totally not be Ok with. He should’ve at least tried to subtly figure out if that’s what you are interested in. I’ve done it with my FWB and another guy whom I knew but not really well. The FWB it just sort of evolved naturally but we know each other really well and we have actually been intimate. The other guy sort of started texting me out of the blue and it became clear fairly quickly that he was hinting for a little virtual fun. But he never sent me anything without asking first. In fact my FWB when we first were getting to know each other he sent me a picture but with his private’s covered and then asked if he should uncover lol. I told him no haha. I think that it is totally OK but only if both parties are OK with it and it they don’t have the brains to figure that out or if they don’t respect it if you say no then that would be the end of it (for me anyway)
I imagine that girls to this too but maybe not as often as guys? But guys probably react differently than girls to nude pics.
Also, did he respond back after your response?

I’m refinancing my house since interest rates dropped so I’m pretty excited about that. Went from 4.375 to 3 and it will save me 350 a month. Even with the closing cost it will have paid for itself in a year. I still plan on paying the same amount as I do know to get the principle paid down quicker but it is nice to know I can pay less if needed.

doriswe, I have two thermostats. The downstairs one is tied to my alarm system. My upstairs one was a basic programmable one but I replaced it with a n’est one and love it because I don’t always need the heat or airco on at the same time every day so I love being able to control it remotely. I don’t have either one of the programmed other than base temp. I totally think it is worth it.

mags, i love macarons but they are a lot of work. I have made them once in a class but have yet to do it on my own. It takes a lot of time. But they’re worth it if you do. I would love to bake more but then I will want to eat it too so other than having made a cake with my kid just because haven’t baked anything else (we made a corona virus cake 😂)

I have so much time but yet so little motivation to get my house cleaned an organized (I need to get rid of stuff) while others are like a white tornado during this time getting their house in tip top shape and squeeky clean. I’m jealous 😁

I made them today and they came out fantastic! I made almond hazelnut. I do a lot of baking but was scared of these. They were easier than I thought,
