1. How far along are you? Team? - 38 +2. Repeat C-Section scheduled for next Tuesday at 7:30 am. Team pink. 2. Rants/raves - We've reached the point where sleeping only on my sides has started to affect my jaw (I have TMJ so the weird sleeping positions throw my jaw out of alignment). But baby girl's room is done! 3. Questions? - Nope. 4. GTKY travel restrictions have been lifted everything is safe and someone gave you an undisclosed large amount of money to travel well before baby is born. Tell me about it! - I want a beach. A warm beach. Anywhere out of the continental US. Don't care where. lol

1. 28w, 2d - Boy! Starting my third trimester - woah!
2. I was finishing up some registry stuff on Sunday and noticed that we had our first gift purchased! The Graco Modes 3 Lite DLX Travel System was bought by an aunt of mine. The stroller/carseat hasn't arrived yet, but I'm so grateful that she bought that for us. I thought it was a little on the fancier-side when I registered for it, and we have had other offers for hand-me-down strollers and infant car seats (which we would have taken, had this not been bought for us), but it makes me happy that our baby will have his own fancy, new stroller and carseat.
Vent - I have my 1-hr Glucose Screening tomorrow morning, I REALLY, REALLY hope I pass. The 3-hr test sounds tough, and the Stay Home/Quarantine will be even tougher if I have to test my blood everyday and can't eat sweets occasionally.
3. With COVID being the new reality, how has that changed your plans for child care? What stage of your state's reopening, month/year do you think your baby will start daycare/grandparent watching/etc?
4. I would go to Maui, and H and I can relive our honeymoon, just with me having a bigger belly and drinking NA drinks instead

1. How far along are you? Team? 24w it’s a girl 2. Rants/raves Mentally I’ve been doing well. Physically I’ve struggled I’m slowing down and am having a lot more pain than I did with my first daughter. I’ve ordered compression socks because I’m already having some feet swelling- I’m not sure how those will look come short season but oh well. I’ve been sitting at a desk a lot more working from home. I’ve started doing yoga a few weeks ago but probably need to be more active than I am. It’s a hard cycle because I’m sore and tired so I don’t have a lot of motivation to get moving. 3. Questions? 4. GTKY travel restrictions have been lifted everything is safe and someone gave you an undisclosed large amount of money to travel well before baby is born. Tell me about it! I’d love to go to Charleston or Asheville and have good food and a massage.
1. 32w1d team pink 2. Just uncomfortable and blah about everything. Have an ultrasound this week, first since anatomy scan. 3. Nope 4. Scotland! H & I had the best trip in Scotland right before we got pregnant with DS and we have both really wanted to go back. It wouldnt be the same at all since we hiked for a good majority of the trip and I cant do that now but we would love to go back and visit some of our favourite spots with DS.

I don't go back to work until January 2021, so hopefully childcare situations will have returned to normal by then. But we still haven't decided what we're doing, COVID notwithstanding. I'm torn between sending the baby to the same center where DS does preschool/aftercare, or hiring a nanny and pulling DS from aftercare. If there are still restrictions in place by that time, then a nanny will be a no-brainer.
2. I'm so much sorer and slower this pregnancy than with my son. I never had that pregnancy "waddle" with him until I was past my due date, and I've felt like walking around the house is major effort since like 28 weeks this time. Plus I can't bend down to pick anything up without getting major heartburn. UGH. DO NOT LIKE BEING PREGNANT.
3. If I keep feeling okay, I won't see my OB/midwife again in person until 36 or 37 weeks, and will just do telehealth visits until then. They want me to buy a blood pressure cuff to monitor at home. Anyone else had to get one, and what did you buy?
4. we went on an awesome kid-free trip to the Maldives in August to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We also knew that we were doing an FET in the early fall and that it would likely be the last time we could get away kid-free for an extended period of time (we've left our son several times for longer trips, but I don't anticipate being able to do that with 2 little ones for quite some time). It was awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away and reconnect with their SO. What I really want to do - and planned to do on my mat leave until all this COVID stuff - though, is a family trip to Hawaii with H and the kids.

I had abnormal results on my 1-hr test, and now have to schedule the 3-hr test. Damn my AMA blood!
My anniversary is next week, 5/7, and I really wanted to be able to enjoy eating a good meal (takeout, but still better than average meal during Quarantine). MEH. I'm going to ban certain foods from my home if I get diagnosed with GD. I haven't minded H drinking and not being able to partake, but I think I would cry if I couldn't have some of my favorite foods and H ate those foods in front of me. I know it's petty, but this news sucks today and I feel whiny.
2. Rants/raves Add me to the “I feel bigger and more tired and more slow than the first time” crew. I think it’s mostly because I have a toddler (3) to chase around this time. Generally I still feel pretty good and I’m still very active (exercise wise), but running around after her, not getting any peace, constantly getting on and off the floor, etc., is wearing me out.
3. Questions? None
4. GTKY travel restrictions have been lifted everything is safe and someone gave you an undisclosed large amount of money to travel well before baby is born. Tell me about it! We have been to some amazing places and have a lot still on our list, but think I would just want to take the trip we were supposed to take in March. I’m still really sad we missed it. We rented an amazing beach house with it’s own pool in Grenada for a week for our 10 yr anniversary. We were just planning on exploring and being lazy and relaxing with dd for a week to spend some good quality time together before baby brother arrives. Dd was so excited. We all were.
madDawg228, I failed my 1-hr with dd (by 11 or 12 pts, I think) and passed my 3 hr just fine. My 1 hr blood draw during the 3 hr was lower than during the 1 hr, despite the fact that the drink has twice as much glucose. It’s pretty common to fail one and pass the other.
