Concrete and tile question

Does anyone know if you can lay a tile border on freshly poured concrete?

We are having a patio poured in our backyard and decided to redo our front walkways while we're at it. Our front porch is tiled. To tie it in with the concrete, I'd love to use the same tiles as a border down the walkways. I'm wondering if the tile can just be pushed in while the concrete is still wet? I know laying tile on the whole thing is problematic until the concrete is cured due to shrinkage and moisture being trapped under the tile, but this would just be a 4X8 subway tile border. My google searches come up empty when I try to see if this is feasible.
