My work has continued uninterrupted during the crisis but I work from home 100% and set up so I have feeders outside my office window. I started off with one feeder "for the cats" and now have half a dozen seed feeders, fruit feeders, a hummingbird feeder, and suet feeders. I might have a problem.
I know I'm seeing lots of folks who are home more with the shutdown and who are getting into the birds, so I thought I'd throw this out.
Anyway, I'm sharing because the cats still love the birds, too.
We’ve been stocking our feeder more often and enjoying them, too!
We keep a book of backyard birds next to the window so we can identify new birds. We were thrilled to find a purple Martin the other day. We love the goldfinches. One flew right into our window the other day and we thought we died, but he ended up flying away about an hour later.
We can’t be the only ones, as it’s been harder to find feeders this year!
I've been feeding the birds in our yard for a few years now, but am especially enjoying it with being home all the time. I have several feeders and am looking forward to it warming up more so we get the hummingbirds. Fortunately there is a local bird/yard store that is still doing curbside pickup so I can stay stocked.
My favorite regulars are a pair of cardinals (DD calls them "Red Jack" and "Red Jill"), a large number of goldfinches, and a pair of rose-breasted grosbeaks.

I love the birds! We can't have a feeder here because they attract the local bears but we've been watching a woodpecker that lives in our tree and it's been really fun!

I usually replace my winter bird feeder with a hummingbird feeder for summer - but I have them both up now Goldfinches and hummingbirds are about as exotic as it gets here, but I also leave peanuts out for scrub jays and they come looking for peanuts every time I come outside now.

I wish we got hummingbirds in England. I'd love to see them. I'll be happy with wrens and I'll have to find something that doesn't allow the pigeons to get at it (hate pigeons - they have pooped all over our gutters).

Oh, I'd miss the hummingbirds! I did not realize that you don't get them in the UK.
I get house wrens in my birdhouse but only rarely at my feeders, and then it's the Carolina wren.
I have weight-sensitive feeders to ward off the squirrels. The do let some of the larger birds feed (e.g., the blue jays), but only one at a time or it becomes too much and the feeding holes get closed off. Would something like that work for the pigeons?

I have a pair of Great Horned Owls hanging out in the tree just across my neighbor's fence. I would love to have them nest near us, but I don't have any way to get a nest up in the tree.
Here's a few of my visitors yesterday. A rose-breasted grosbeak, a couple of woodpeckers, goldfinches, and a female ruby-throated hummingbird. I am hopeful that I can get a better hummingbird pic later in the season
I love, love watching the birds on our feeder. I've started seeing a lot of new kinds of bird this year that I've never seen before, but I haven't gotten any good pictures yet. Normally we get Ground Doves, Red Winged Blackbirds, Blackbirds, Bluejays, Bluebirds, Cardinals, several varieties of woodpeckers, Chickadees, and a bunch more that I'm probably forgetting. This year I saw a Goldfinch for the first time and just the other day I two Indigo Buntings - a young, non-mating male and a mating male. We feed the birds all year long, but definitely get a lot more variety this time of the year.
