I've been struggling with a pain in my left arm when I lift weights, mainly curls. At first I thought it was my elbow, but lately it feels like my forearm into my elbow. Hurts like hell when I curl and even prevents me from lifting. I've tried massaged, which hurt like hell at first, and other common treatments. it's been a week+ since I've lifted. Today it started again with light pain and locking up some. Any ideas?
I'd schedule an appointment with a sports medicine orthopedist to have it looked at. If it's legal in your state, you might want to go straight to a physical therapist or get a referral to one from a doctor.

"Hurts like hell"=doctor for me.
Yeah I dislike going to the doctor and I even agree.
Sometimes we have to break down. If you can see a PT without a referral in your state (state laws vary), it's also an option. In my state I can have 8 visits with a PT before needing a referral. Insurance requires one after the first visit.

sounds like lateral epicondilitis aka tennis elbow. See an ortho and get him to give you stretching exercises, be patient and don't overwork it, mine took a full 6 months to heal

B-I-N-G-O. Exactly what I have. It's a little better but still not where I can curl with it. Also if I move it certain ways with some weight or force it'll hurt a little. I found a brace to help.

those stretching exercises will be key, so then several times a day. I count kt tape worked better for me than the counter pressure brace. Again, i can't stress enough to not overwork it and be patient.
Started supplements, I wear the brace, and im taking it easy. Im able to workout everything with mild discomfort except for biceps. Im taking a break on those.
