If you have this, what has worked to make it more manageable? Or go away completely?
Today is a pretty bad day. My thumb is so sore and I can barely write. Tylenol doesn't do much. I am trying to do neck exercises hoping it will relieve the pressure. It makes it hard for me to concentrate and I don't want to believe this will be my new normal. It's been going on for 3 months.
I have nerve pain but a different cause so no experience on how to treat the pain. But I wanted to commiserate with you because it sucks so fucking much. I really hope you find something soon.
CBD balm helped some. Meloxicam helped some too. Right now I'm taking gabapentin and getting PT. My accident was in early January.
I use traction. A chiropractor that I had in CA had me doing PT that included traction, exercises, and massage. DH bought the pricey traction device online for me, but it had to be used laying down, and it bothers me if I have earrings on (fwp) and recently it sprung a leak, so I bought something off Amazon that works for me and I like that I can use it sitting up so I can multitask. lol
Now if only I could find a pillow that supported my head and didn't screw up my neck...

McKenzie method exercises are the only things that relieved pain for me. I did, at one point, have a prescription for gabapentin and tramadol, but it didn’t touch it.
A tens unit interrupted the pain for me while sleeping. I would sleep with it on and keep my finger on the button. when I would start to stir, I’d start the machine and could usually get a little more rest.
I’m sorry, nerve pain is tremendously awful and a pain like none other. I hope you can get some healing started soon.

Do you have a link for the traction device? Sleeping in a weird position definitely makes it worse.

I've wondered about the sling type thing that you hang from a doorknob, but I am not sure where I could use that one.
I have a tens unit too, but I will use it and then forget about it for awhile. I have a microwaveable heat pack that I use constantly to relax things enough for other things to be able to work.... otherwise my neck and shoulders are just too tight.
Obviously this is a real issue for me, and something that I will throw money at to get relief.
I haven't found anyplace here that can fix me/keep me pain free like my old chiropractor and the Asian massage guy at the mall in CA. I was more upset about losing the massage guy than than I was about moving away from friends and family....he was a miracle worker. They had me mostly headache and numbness free for years (after 3 decades of constant problems) and it all has returned in the past few years. I blame Trump... thre timing is about right. Lol
