Most of mine is waiting to be framed as we have brought home several prints from travels and I never got around to framing them. Once shops are open, I'm going to do it.
Here are a few that we have:
1. Our most recent purchase from a local guy -
2. Another local guy - my H is an Arsenal fan so we're going to end up with an Arsenal wall eventually
3. Another London artist from when I first moved over here
We have a lot of art prints and vintage posters (DH collects both), but here are a couple of my fave original artwork. First two are by local artists and last one is by my dad (something he did back in the 70s). We also have two ink and pencil sketches of our boys by a friend/local artist and those are one of my most prized possessions.

I have a few pieces I love that came from family, and a few picked up on trips.
1. This one was painted by my grandma, and my grandpa made the frame.
2. This one I inherited from my aunt. It was painted by a friend of hers.
3. This photo was taken by my dad and he made the frame.
4. This is a gravestone rubbing DH’s grandma did in London.
5.
A different aunt’s friend painted this in the 60s, and I rescued it out of her basement. I’ve had it in various places in my homes for 25 years, and it makes my aunt so happy!
6. We bought this from a street artist in Haiti.
7. These are from a photographer in Maui.
8.
I got several of these types of things from a street vendor in Cairo. I’m sure they were mass produced, but they still are great memories.
I have a lot of original art because my mom got me into it. It helps that my aunt creates pieces I love and she shows them in art shows where I find other pieces I love. Maybe I'll grab some pictures of some of my favorites.
My SIL is an artist and sells custom work for thousands but is kind enough to give us a family discount. Here are a couple pieces she has done for us, the one over the stairs is huge, 5’ x 6’. The one in our tiny powder room is over the toilet is impossible to photograph so here it is in the mirror reflection.
This is a photograph of my childhood church taken by a local photographer.
This was purchased by my Grandmother in 1983 in Portugal.
My Mom gave me this print when I bought my first house in 2005.
These were purchased as a 40th birthday gift to myself. They were on sale at a Winery and I fell in love.
And this I purchased at estate sale a few years ago. I know nothing about it, I was just drawn to it. ETA I just googled and apparently it's a print of Card Players by Cezanne.
We found the first water color at a local art fair, and the second was painted by my husband’s aunt and given to us as a wedding gift. The ocean print is two photo prints I bought on Etsy and had printed on canvases.
These two are my favorite-favorites. My grandma painted the bridge on the right; it was her last painting. The story behind the one on the left is that we lived in the Southwest for 4 years, and we picked up this painting at the farmers' market; the mountains are the mountains that are directly east of the town where we lived.
I also love this colored pencil piece that was done by a friend. It's hanging above our stove.
And this was the first piece of "real" artwork I ever bought, in college, from a silent auction in conjunction with The Vagina Monologues. I think it was $10. It's in our hall bathroom.
@sameoldstory , what is the wall color behind the rooster print?
It's Sherwin Williams Tidewater.
Thanks! It's so pretty. It looks a lot like a sample I have on my living room wall right now, which is Tradewind by Sherwin Williams. Tradewind is a bit grayer than Tidewater, but my living room goes very warm in the afternoon so it turns aqua-ish.
