In my last house we put in a Bosch 500 and absolutely loved it, couldn’t have been happier. It’s my mothers house (we were renting from her) and 5 years later she still absolutely loves it.
We bought this one a few months ago and I love it. It's absurdly quiet, and the third rack at the top is great for random things. It cleans better than any dishwasher we've had before. I thought having an app was crazy but I like that it tells us when we are low on Jet Dry, when the filter needs to be cleaned, etc. - all of which affect how well it washes.
We've had a Bosch in our past house and current house and love them. We did just have to get a repair for a broken seal but we've had the dishwasher about 7 years and this was our first issue and we pretty much run it 1-2 a day.
Whatever you do, DO NOT even look in the direction of a Samsung.
I love mine! It’s silent fast and does a great job.
I feel like ML is the only place people hate Samsung. 🤷🏼♀️
Definitely not the only place, there are thousands of the same complaints out there. We bought an entire suite of Samsung appliances and all FIVE took a shit within three years, some right after warranty expiration and there was no recourse with the company.

Last time I looked at Consumer Reports for a dishwasher, they said they removed all Samsungs from their list because they had a 25% repair rate, which was much higher than any other brand.
sometimesrunner, we had a Samsung that broke recently (3.5 years old) and when we called a repair service they said they do not come for Samsungs anymore because the repairs don't last and then they get blamed for it :-O
We are getting a new Maytag delivered today. We’ll see how it goes.
I would recommend buying from Costco if you can. Most of their dishwashers come with a 2 year warranty and Costco doubles that, so a 4 year warranty in total.
Bosch. Love it so much. I had to insist on it because H wanted to go with a Samsung to save a few hundred and I am happy I did. We can be in the kitchen and not even know it’s running. Completely silent.
I always feel in these threads that I'm the only person who doesn't like Bosch but...I hate our Bosch. We've had ours for five years and the water tap error has been an issue almost since day one. We've spent hundreds in repairs and have had Bosch send replacement arms because it stopped cleaning anything on the top rack a few years in. That seems to have fixed things for now but I'm not a fan. It is quiet. Will give it that.

I also recently had this experience with a 3 year old Samsung. We bought a Bosch.

I also don’t like Bosch. My inlaws and SIL have them and think they are amazing. Meh. They’re fine.

We got a Bosch, just make sure you get a metal interior, whatever brand you get. That’s what helps then run quietly, per my H’s MONTHS of research and inane dinner conversation.

We had a cheap Frigidaire before that worked pretty great. I only realized that in hindsight because our more expensive Kitchenaid that we have now sucks. Consumer Reports failed me on this one even though they’ve always been helpful otherwise.
We were considering the Bosch 300 (with the hidden controls)- and a similarly priced/spec'd GE- but, ultimately, we chose a well reviewed, similarly priced and spec'd LG- and we're very happy with it so far!
I do want to note that (as mentioned in the link) stainless tubs are also very important for drying purposes. You want a stainless tub! Nylon coated racks were another absolute necessity for us- the 15yo Maytag this replaced had PVC coated racks, and the poor thing was missing a lot of tines at the end. I wanted a removable third rack, adjustable 2nd shelf, and collapsible tines, too. And hidden controls- we were always accidentally bumping the old dishwasher's buttons.

My parents have these and love them. They have two separated in the kitchen, vs stacked on top. Its so nice, there's always an empty dishwasher and no bending down. My only complaint about them, is I don't think they hold that much, no big pots and you have to load strategically. My parents disagree though (and they entertain often).
We just replaced our Whirlpool with a Bosch and have been very happy. We were specifically drawn to the Crystal Dry feature, as H’s biggest complaint on our old dishwasher is that it didn’t dry anything.
I will say, we got off to a rocky start with the Bosch, though. We ordered it Labor Day weekend 2019. It couldn’t be delivered for six weeks (mercifully, it was not an urgent need) because the power converter required to install it was backordered. Once it was installed, it wouldn’t run. We got the water tap error circa1978 mentioned. They offered to come repair it, but we declined and told us to bring a whole new dishwasher instead, since we hadn’t ever run a load in the first one. Knock on wood, we’ve had zero issues since. We did buy the warranty, though, just in case.
