We’re looking to put curtains up in our office. They’ll be 125” long and the window is 82” wide. I’d like to have the fabric not blocking the windows most of the time, so need quite a bit wider. I’m looking to find a solution for a curtain rod. The trouble is that there is a window in the middle that prevents a center support. We cannot also include that half circle window in the coverings because of the shape of the wall/ceiling, and there’s no beam between those two windows, just the vinyl. Ceiling mount isn’t an option because the ceiling is vaulted.
Houzz says there’s no solution to this, but I’m hoping someone here can tell me otherwise!
I don’t envision putting anything too heavy on there, we just desperately need something to help block the sun in the mornings!

I might be misunderstanding the setup, but you can put a support in an area without a beam if you use an anchor (at least with drywall you can), so you might be able to put four supports across - one on each end, and one on either side of the half circle?
I would look into a custom hardware company. I bought a rod from Paso Robles Ironworks and it is gorgeous - you can ask him how far he can design the span without support. It was expensive but not as expensive as you’d expect for something custom.
I just downloaded the app to add a pic, so apologies if it’s too big/small. The room doesn’t extend much beyond what the pic shows. I have a friend who can make the curtains (though I’m totally clueless as to what fabric to choose), but need a way to hang them. I’d like to keep it as inexpensive as possible, as no one really sees this room from inside.
I have this on a 74" sliding with no middle support. It's working fine, but our curtains are pretty light weight. It's probably 12-16" past the trim on either side.
I have three large windows approx. 96 inches across. There is a large wood rod about 2.5 inches in diameter across with two wooden support brackets one on either side at the end of the bank of windows. I keep the curtains closed but I have tieback hooks so if I want to open them, they are easy to pull behind the hooks. We actually also have 3 individual shades on these windows as well (major afternoon sun). They are outside mounted on the window moulding. You could probably do inside mount of one large shade or blinds.
Thank you for posting the picture, it's pretty much what I was imagining. I still think that I would do either blinds or shutters.
Blinds would be my preference, too. I love shutters, but that would be more than I’d like to spend (plus we have 2” faux wood blinds in the other windows). A few houses with a similar window have the bottom 2/3 with blinds, but ours doesn’t have a beam in that place; it’s just the vinyl windows. I think it would be too much to have the entire window in the 2” blinds. I know cellular shades are popular, but I don’t like the all-or-nothing aspect of them.

It might be worth it to have a local shop come out and take a look for you. We have a local company that does blinds and shutters. We had them come out and what they showed us was beautiful, but a bit more than we wanted to spend on our standard sized windows. For something like your situation, they might have a solution that you might not have thought about and the expense might be worth it.
