2020 is half over (thank goodness?!). Of course so many plans are have changed because of coronavirus, but how are you doing towards meeting some of your (perhaps now modified) goals?
My goals have all been thrown out the window with myocarditis and #heartproblems. My new goal is to try to have surgery before the end of the year and be back for 2021. My team has waived all but a few race requirements, so I don't need to do any races.

Well my goals were to 1 - run a 1:55 half marathon. All my half marathons this year got canceled, so getting a PR is a no go. 2 - PR at the Chicago marathon. Which, I'm sure is going to be canceled, so again, no PR this year.
Sooooo, good for a chuckle, but definitely not goals I'm going to hit in 2020. It's ok though. I'll just keep pushing those goals forward until I can safely run another race. For the rest of 2020, I just want to focus on staying healthy and enjoying exercise.
My goals were to: Run 2 halfs - I did one on my own the day the first one should have been, will try to do the same for when the second would have been Lose 5-10 lbs, eat more plants and less junk - I’m down about 6 lbs from Jan, have not had red meat at all this year for environmental reasons, still need to work a little harder at portion control and curbing junk food. Yoga/stretching and even a tiny bit of weightlifting, at least twice a week each - I’ve done yoga 89 times so far this year, but hardly any weightlifting 500 miles run and 2000 miles on the gym bike - yeah this one has gone by the wayside since I don’t plan to ride the bike at the gym again for a very long time... but I will probably hit 500 miles run so far on the year next week.
I also wanted to bike more for transportation and give blood 2-3 times... I have not biked a ton but the driving at least has gone way down. I’ve given blood once so far. (I tried for the second time last week but inadvertently marked myself for power red, which I can’t actually give, whoops. And now since they offer coronavirus antibody tests it’s almost impossible to get an appointment.)

Here were my goals.
1) 2020 miles in 2020 across all disciplines (swim, bike, run) Should accomplish this no problem, I'm also working on doing 2020 miles just biking. 2) Become a better swimmer This is actually happening! I was never excited about swimming but something about not being able to do it for two months made me look forward to getting back in the pool. It's amazing how much more comfortable I am in the water. I bought a wetsuit and have gotten out twice for OWS. 3) Train for and finish my HIM. It will be PR if I finish Well I am training for it but I am fully expecting it to be cancelled. I am kicking myself for not deferring to 2021. 4) PR in either marathon or half distance I don't see this happening. I'm not a fan of the virtual runs. 5) Enjoy the journey and find the joy. Always working on this one especially with this year being such a mindfuck.
1. Pump until June (when DS turns 1) and then stop. Wean DS at a comfortable pace for both of us after that. Done. I stopped pumping the week of his birthday, and he is just about weaned now, at 13m. I'm occasionally bittersweet about it, but mostly trying to focus on a happy healthy baby and my body's job well done.
2. Start running again, ramp up gradually, and be ready to do my favorite local race, a 15k, by November. I have run a little, I'm having some trouble with a chronic hip/lower back issue. I'm not sure I'll be up to 15k by Nov. as a result. Clearly the race will be no go. With the loss of childcare during covid, I've had no time to myself and have really struggled to make time to workout in general. It's frustrating to feel like I've been trying and failing at that for about 5 years straight for one reason or another.
3. Lose the baby weight by the end of 2020 (so, 15 lb. in a year). I've lost about 9 lbs. of my goal 15 so far this year. Not bad! Mostly due to increased activity being home with the kids, and a concerted effort to just be more active while at home.
My goals were to run the Boston Marathon and get a 10 mile PR. At least I got my 10 mile PR the week before everything shut down. Technically I plan to run the virtual Boston, but just cause I want my medal.

My goals were to stay healthy with no major injuries and to run a fall marathon. I still have the first goal, but not the second. I’m doing less running, more cross-training, and just trying to stay active and healthy.
I did not post any goals. I have not been exercising and around here after I got a foot injury a year ago. I did almost nothing except for a weekly hike until my foot was entirely healed (just a month ago or so). I have been kicking up the mileage on my hikes since then and went out for a run this morning. It was so nice after so long. Hope to soon be back to regular runs and bike rides, and longer hikes. I can start thinking about goals again!
I'm looking at these and laughing. I guess it's good that I didn't really set anything hard and fast?
1. Find the answers to some health issues I have been having - working on it 1a. I have gone from being insulin resistant to prediabetic, so get that crap under control - working on it. I have a new RD who is kind of amazing. 2. Find the joy in training and racing - this has actually gone really, really well. I didn't realize just how badly I needed an offseason. Even when everything started getting cancelled and my offseason got extended, I was more happy about that than anything. 3. Be consistent with strength and PT - yes! 4. PR...something - - I'm doing a virtual 10k in a couple weeks, and I think I have a good shot at a nice PR there. 5. Race a 70.3 on my birthday and enjoy the fact that I can do something like that! Well, this race got postponed a week until 9/26 (wut?) and I honestly don't think it's going to happen anyway, so my plan is to still do a 70.3 on my birthday - it will just be a self-supported one.
I'm bummed now that races aren't happening, but I get it. I think the worst part about all of this is my yearly race streak with @vtcupcake is shot.
My goals were to really work on my swimming. Well 3 months outside of pools really didn't really help that at all. I had made some progress with my swim coach. I'm swimming now at my neighborhood pool and I did some nice open water swims on our vacation in Maine. But I lost most of the progress I made. I want to try to something virtual with my swim coach, but there is a chance of furlough for my agency in a month so I'm on spending extra money on stuff like that.
I'm not hitting any of my goals this year. I'm ok with that. I'm just trying to stay active and run, bike, swim and some strength 6 days a week. Length or distance don't really matter too much. I'm not following a plan.
