I am glad you were able to find a black dermatologist! Your issue reminded me of this article I recently read about a young medical student who wrote a book on how to spot diseases on different coloured skin after realising that what he was being taught about 'red rashes' didn't apply to so many people. Really highlights the importance of having diversity in medical practitioners.
