The dermatitis/redness around my mouth that I was experiencing this winter is back again thanks to the heat and mask usage. I suspect it's eczema, but never made it to the derm while it was an issue and I don't know that I'm desperate enough to make an appt right this minute to find out for sure or not. I haven't been wearing makeup since March and haven't changed my skincare routine, so I know it's related to the heat and wearing a mask more frequently, as I've started back on a weekly grocery routine and running more errands now that stores are mostly open again.
Have you switched up your skincare at all to counteract problems from constant mask use? Anyone else suffering from something similar?
How often are you washing your masks? My skin is super sensitive, so I'm washing mine daily, even if I've only been on a short errand. It's a PITA, but I'm sure that bacteria can grow pretty quickly given the heat and trapped moisture.

1 use and it gets tossed the wash pile. Granted, if I’m hitting up 2 or 3 stores in a row I’m using the same mask and taking it off in between.

I’d try more frequent mask changes if possible. And in between when you’re changing, maybe wipe down your skin with some miceller water wipes and let it dry before putting on your new mask.
I can tell that my skin gets irritated, particularly when I’m wearing a mask outside and it’s sweaty and hot and holding that sweat against my skin.
