Speaking of jobs, employment, etc as we do on this board...
My company is hiring for all mortgage operations roles - processors, underwriters, closers - at the moment. We are looking nationwide and will allow permanent work from home situations.
DM me if you’d like more information for yourself or anyone else you know of in the mortgage industry.

ETA: it’s a great company with a solid benefits package that still includes some 401k matching. I love what I do and where I work.
We do have entry level positions that require no mortgage experience, Jr Processors. This role is in the $20-25 per hour range with and after some time has the potential to feed directly into a Processing role.
More than likely yes. It would be borrower facing and trying to communicate with just email just isn’t always as effective and some people still prefer to do these things over the phone so flexibility in that regard would be needed.

Any in leadership/management?
Yes, we're working on a growth plan right now that will be in effect for the next 12 months. So we'll be hiring at various levels. We do provide for opportunities for growth and career-path'ing in house, but not every position will be filled that way on the management team.

Do the entry level positions have post-high school education requirements? I have a couple of family members looking for WFH opportunities, but I don't believe that any of them have post-HS degrees.

I work in a different industry, but my company just announced layoffs in my department are coming. While I hope that doesn't impact me I'm bookmarking this just in case.

Not all of them, no.
That's one thing I think the mortgage industry does well, is provide an alternative career path for people that don't plan on pursuing a college education.

Hey!
Are they still hiring for entry level? Do you know what the requirements for that would be?
I have been a SAHM for many years and unfortunately my husband left...so I am having to start over. I don’t have a college degree or a career I left when we had our child.

Yes we are. We'll be holding interview days every other Tuesday. And for entry level jobs, we hire for culture fit, work ethic, effective communication, and some computer skills. College degrees aren't required.
Some of our management team don't have college degrees either. And some of our best hires come from service working backgrounds like Starbucks, retail (Nordstrom), and Disneyland.
