Halleluiah It is finally April 15th and the longest tax season is coming to a close. We have more extensions to file today than we normally do in April and most of those are people who normally have their stuff done. It has been a very weird 2019 tax filing season. Tired tax lady
Dear WPs, Official update for those who missed it buried in other threads: beau and I are moving in together in late fall when his lease is up. Hoping to buy a bigger place together and sell my house, but the housing market is insane here. I'll have a dozen offers over asking within hours once I list it, which is great news. But then we'll end up homeless because the same thing will be happening on the flip side with any house we're trying to buy. So cross your fingers for us! We can make my house work temporarily, but it is way too small to work long term. Plus, a fresh start would be nice. This is the house exH and I bought together after we got married. It's got some bad juju. Excited, Twinmomma
Dear beau, Well done with the anniversary surprise! I can't believe you coordinated a socially distanced, drive by visit with my grandma on our way to dinner in her town. Best gift ever! I haven't seen her since January and she's been so lonely being on lock down in her elderly housing complex. It made both our days to be able to wave and say hi! Love you, Happy girlfriend
I would really like an answer to whether I can rehire someone we laid off like 2 weeks ago. He would be my best solution to losing my best employee. And I would think we wrote the severance agreements where if we could offer them a job within so many days, we could stop paying them severance.
Seriously, Answer Me!
Dear Boss:
I’m drowning. And I have never once complained before. But I took on the entire job of the guy we laid off and now my Auditor, who was a one-man operation, has left. So please do not give me shit if I want to re-hire my former auditor who we just laid off. I know you didn’t like him. I don’t care.

Dear Beau, Thank you for bringing me breakfast and my favorite coffee stand drink. I know you say it's nothing, but you have no idea how much I appreciate little gestures like that. Love, Appreciative GF
Dear July, Finally some sunshine and 70 degree weather! Signed, Tired of the gray
Yes I quarantined one of your staff. Deal with it. No one cares that you didn't get a personal phone call beforehand. There is a reason.
Signed, don't need your input, and now know, I don't need to deal with it.
Dear world,
Wear your damn masks. My job would be so much easier. And so would yours.
Signed, tired.
Dear DD,
Do not get upset over an ACT score. You are a Freshman. We just took the test as a baseline and practice. You will take it several more times before it even counts. BTW, you do not have to stress about a career right now. You are 15. You don't need to sign your name in blood that you will go to medical school at 15. Chill out kid.
So we didn’t put a clawback provision in the severance package, so we “probably” can’t rehire this guy? I assume because you don’t want to answer questions as to why there’s no clawback provision.
Dear Google Calendar, Phew. Your multiple calendar and color coding features are going to get a work out this year! Keeping track of three kids in two districts, one of which is doing a hybrid schedule, plus custody schedules? Thank you for making it feel somewhat manageable to keep track all this because otherwise my brain would explode. Signed, Never ditching my Google phone
