Sewing resources?

Is there a good resource for sewing? Like a book that talks about fabrics, stitches and everything else you would need to know.

DD1 has taken a sewing class pre Covid, so she has basics, but I'd like a go to book rather than her googling or YouTubing everything.

For quilting I like the better homes and garden quilt book.

Love to see podcast has discussed multiple books for various garments and general knowledge but I don’t remember what they are. Their show notes might be helpful.

The Readers Digest complete guide to sewing is by far the best. It covers different stitches by hand and sheen, types of fabric, common sewing techniques including buttonholes, zippers, facings, tailoring, everything.
