I’ve been working on a laundry room renovation for a couple of months now, most of the work on weekends during naptime and weeknights.
We weren’t going to do this until the fall but then our dryer broke and we had a ceiling leak so we accelerated the plans. There are “before” photos also below - it’s a SMALL room and it’s also our walkway in from the garage. The stacked W/D made it feel so crowded and it was not functional the way it was set up. It’s the only part of my house that I really hated.
Moving the dryer vent wasn’t in the cards due to how much construction would be involved so we partially closed it into one of the cabinets (the cabinet is open underneath.
We moved the electrical, put in a new light fixture and utility sink and I painted the walls and trim. I repurposed (they needed a ton of repair) the upper cabinets and painted them (Sherwin Williams Retreat....love), painted and installed new lower drawers, stained and installed new butcher block countertops and birch shelves, added a hang bar and stenciled the wall.
lightbulbsun, and idahome, it's actually not wallpaper - it's a stencil! I used a simple wall stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils. SOOOO much cheaper than wallpaper because I used some paint I had leftover.

That's brilliant. I'm so going to do that in my powder room. So thankful you posted this!
