I'm in the process of filing and just wondering how long it typically takes. I'm now at the point where I just want to get it over an done with. We are filing a joint agreement with kids (if that makes a difference).
It depends on your state laws. You might have a waiting period. For example, even if you reach a settlement/custody agreement in CA right away, there is a mandatory six month period to legally finalize the divorce. You can probably find your state laws just using google search....

It depends on a lot of factors. Are you and H agreeable and is everything agreed upon already? Will either of you be working with lawyers? Do you have any property or other assets? Have arrangements for the kids (including money) been already addressed? My first divorce to my XH took 2 months... my 2nd divorce (to the same man - stupid me) took 18 months.
It depends on your state. I had to wait 6 months for my residency to kick back in. Then I went to the first hearing in March, then in May I tried to push for the finalization of the divorce, but the ex submitted a letter to the judge to postpone till September. It was finalized in September and had paperwork in October.

In my state there is a mandatory waiting period of 90 days. We had no outstanding issues with property or custody, so I think from the day I filed to the final decree was probably 5months.

It depends. I had to wait 6 months because we had a child involved. Thankfully, XH and I were able to work out our differences during that 6 month waiting period and our final papers were signed by a judge nearly 6 months to the date. I'm beyond thankful for that.

As everyone says it depends on the state and issues. I filed July 17 and had the hearing Oct 2. I left the hearing with all the paperwork finalized and in hand. So 77 days in AZ without kids or property issues.
Here there is a 60 waiting period, but when I filed that could be waived if both parties agreed to it so I think from the day I filed to when it was finalized was maybe a week and a half. No property or kids.
In Norway it took about 3 weeks to process the application for separation, and then we have a one-year waiting period to split our assets before we can file for the final divorce. So probably about 1 year and 6 weeks in total. Plus we had our own 6-month trial separation before we even filed to start the countdown! Ugh. So if you include that, it will be around 1.75 years.

I am feel so bad for you that it will take that long.

I live in CA and my DB of an EX kept pushing the divorce back. After all was said and done, my divorce was finalized 4 days before the 4 year mark of when I filed for divorce.
I lived in NY, then moved to DC. The ex-H and I supposedly filed in NY back in August, but he kept "forgetting," so we finally filed in December. Or so I thought. Apparently he never filed a certain form. Once he did that, it took about a month.
I divorced in California and unless you are doing a summary dissolution (no property, married less than 5 years), there is no waiting period. If you are doing a summary dissolution, there is a 6 month waiting period. There is a 30 day time limit to file a response if for the non-filing party but other than that, t all depends on how quickly you can come to a resolution.
Other than dealing with the bs of settling property (including the house), the longest part was waiting. It took almost 12 weeks for the judge to review the settlement agreement, only to reject it because XH never paid his filing fee. After he paid and we resubmitted, we had signed orders in 2 weeks.
All said, I filed in January and we were final at the end of October.
Depends on a lot. XH and I had an amicable dissolution as far as those go. He was served Feb 17th with the paperwork. Our final agreement was filed in March. The divorce was finalized May 7th.
