I haven't worn makeup very often since March but I wore some this week and after a few hours my eye makeup is running or something and I have dark circles under my eyes.
Recommendations for eye primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara? I can't use waterproof, it itches like crazy.
I have good luck with both the Smashbox 24 hr eye primer (silver tube) and the Milani eye primer. They work the same for me. For mascara, I'm really liking Benefits Bad Gal Bang. I haven't had issues with it flaking or transferring under my eyes, which is something I often have with mascara in general.
I don't wear eye liner and I feel that if you use a good eye primer any eye shadow will stay put.
One of the makeup artists I watch on YouTube says that a good eye primer will even help keep your mascara from smudging. I loved the Hourglass one, but had an allergic reaction to it, so I'm back to using Urban Decay Primer Portion (UDPP as we used to call it in makeup boards back in the day). Mascara has been hit or miss for me, since my eyes react to all kinds of things. Right not I'm using the Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara. I really like the new L'Oreal Bambi Eye mascara, too.
Wander Beauty Mile High Club mascara is fantastic. Iβve tried so many mascaras (I always get the Sephora sample packs). Iβve only ever liked Cover Girl because it doesnβt smudge. However, it doesnβt do much for my lashes (very short and thin). The Wander mascara does not smudge at all which is amazing. Iβve been wearing it over nothing but oily sunscreen and it still doesnβt smudge. It comes off with soap and water as well. I tried this one on a whim and it is truly the best Iβve ever tried. If you have actual lashes, you may have more options, but since I have such short lashes, not much helps. I was so happy to discover this mascara.
The urban decay primer or the too faced primer are my favorite. For mascara, I use cils booster primer and monsieur big mascara, both by Lamcome. That's the only combo that works for me.
Iβm a devoted fan of Kat Von D tattoo liquid liner. Iβve been doing cat eyes or wings for about 28 years (::sobs:: Iβm so old!). And that liner is by far the best Iβve ever used. I can do super thin or more dramatic.
For mascara, Maybelline Soft n Full for life.
For eyeshadow, Urban Decay and ABH are my faves for blendability and lastingness.
Iβm also a big fan of lash extensions. In my 40s they do a lot to lift my face. I just have to tell the young gals who can pull off more drama to try to keep it natural. The first time I did it I looked like a deranged cupie doll. π

This has been my issue. I pretty much stopped wearing makeup last summer, and only picked it up again last month. I'm wearing it once or twice weekly now, and my eyes are really not used it it. They water so much now. Yesterday it felt like my eyelids were sweating; how does that happen? Ick.

I actually have been enjoying Fenty's eye primer, its hydrating and works. Eyeliner, is Tarte's double take, and mascara is Essences Lash Princess, the green and black one. Lash Princess i think its called

I really like urban decay primer but I always forget to use it. The urban decay eye shadows are great and stay on mostly even without primer. I like their eye liner too.
I also love the nudestick eye color since you don't need a brush. I use angel every day for a light shadow.
My favorite mascaras are any of the benefit ones and I use a curler, pick one, wait a minute and layer on another. My 16 year old taught me that trick. Using two benefit msscaras layered makes my lashes pop more.
