For those who have dogs

Our girls did not remember DH today (home from a 9 month deployment). I think he was expecting one of those you tube videos. I can tell he's super disappointed but it's like he wrote them off immediately. He doesn't even want them near him. I don't know what to do. He can't be like this forever. They're our dogs.

OJO, it definitely helps to know the aloofness might help. He did manage to get them to play fetch yesterday but they're still kind of questioning who he is.

Yeah, my dog was not happy when my H came home. He (the dog) was not a fan of having another person around the house or H touching me at all (he would bark and growl at him, super protective dog). But after a couple weeks, everything was back to normal.

One of our girls finally warmed up...hope our GSD does soon too.

I'm sorry that happened... homecomings are so built up and we expect them to be like what we see on tv. I'm sure they will come around... until then you can give him the love that the dogs won't :heart:
