We are painting the shutters navy, the door sort of a robins egg blue, and white trim. The trim includes the gutters, wood around windows, and frame of door, as well as the supports holding up our porch.
We have a detached garage that is visible from the street so you can see it at the same time as the shutters. But when actually standing at the garage cannot see any shutters as they are only on the front windows.
The garage has wood siding. There is also one tiny triangle of wood siding on the roof of the porch where it connects to the house.
Would it be weird to paint the siding the same color as the shutter? If so what other color could I paint it.
I’m horrible at making decisions and getting to this point with two colors was so hard already.
It would be helpful to see But I think the blue garage would be nice. First, the color you selected doesn’t read navy on my screen. It’s more of a dark dusty blue. But not as saturated as navy. I saw someone on the other board recommended a white garage. That would Practically stand out more than blue. I think picking a stone color would look ok but just help the garage recede into the background. I’m team go stylish. If you haven’t already, upgrade your garage hardware on the door so it looks more carriage house like

I have no idea how to add hardware to my door. It’s just your standard white garage door that goes up and down.
I said in the other post I am going to go with the blue. It makes up quite a bit of my view from my kitchen and backyard and looking at something so large that’s a drab color is just depressing. I feel like white would be blinding every time I went out and also would get so dirty with rain, seeds, pollen, etc. I’m hoping the blue will make me happy.

If it’s a huge disaster - it’s only paint 🤷🏼♀️
good for you! I bet you’ll smile every time you see it.
