1. 84 years pregnant (40w2d) it’s a girl 2. I saw a dr at 36 weeks who said she’d be shocked if I made it to 37 and definitely would deliver before I did with Dd1 (39w3). Lies!!! Should get a call today to schedule my induction I’m thinking Friday. I’ve had a ton of prodromal labor several rounds of contractions for days but never organizing to do anything. Made a trip to L&D last week thinking it was it and got sent home. 3. Pretty sure we’re going with Josephine 4. Phase 10 is my favorite.
2. I barely bought any maternity clothes with DD because I carried small and could make a decent amount of my clothes work, especially since I wear primarily dresses to the office. I started showing really, really early this time and am already unable to wear normal pants so I finally caved and bought some maternity stuff. I'll probably need more and I'm just so mad that I have to spend money on stuff I will never wear again! Plus, maternity stuff is never cheap!
I also have no idea what we need for a second baby? We kept everything from DD so other than furniture/bedding for the nursery and new bottles for daycare, I really don't know what we need, if anything, for a second. I was so prepared for DD and I'm just sorta feeling like we're winging it this time around, lol
3. Pretty sure it'll be Sarah Margaret
4. We have so so many board games - Ticket to Ride and Betrayal at House on the Hill are the best. We also play a lot of majong and concentration rummy with my parents.

1. 28w1d with #2 and team blue this time.
2. I am definitely bigger this time around and just feeling it more. Some days I’m fine (yesterday I did a ton of nesting and had no issues) but other days my pelvis hurts (like I had trouble walking on Friday because I was so sore!)
3. Baby will definitely be Gabriel but he does not have a middle name.
4. I’m a big cards against humanity fan but we rarely play it anymore!

1. How far along and team 16+2 with DS2
2. Rants raves feelings We did a little bit in DS2's room over the weekend. I feel like there's SO MUCH to do. But really I think there's just more to deal with. We've been fortunate to receive hand-me-down furniture from our families -- all of which is really nice -- as we've been able to furnish our homes with it and such, but now we have THREE full bedroom sets (not including ours) and I have no idea what to do with them. So we have to actually make decisions and purge/store things this time around.
I'm just whining, though. Generally everything is fine, though I'm still exhausted all the time.
3. Have you picked names? No. I've got a "short-but-long" list, but we've not narrowed it at all.
4. What’s your favorite board/card game? Oooh, a good question. We played Cards Against Humanity a lot for a while, and we played the virtual Exploding Kittens game with some friends pretty often.
corgimom -- I feel totally lost on "what do we need for a second" too! I tossed anything like pacis, bottle nipples, teething toys -- basically stuff that went in DS1s mouth a bunch that wasn't a spoon or fork -- but I feel like I'm just guessing beyond that. lol
tacoflavoredkisses -- I hope you get some relief from your pain! And Gabriel is a great name!

I personally can't advise an induction...they just didn't go well for me but they go great for some people

jennistarr1 I’m reallllly hoping we don’t get there. Right now I’m scheduled for Thursday. I have an appointment with my favorite dr on Wednesday. The dr Friday said my cervix was favorable and induction should go smoothly hopefully quick fx
11w today. Sneak peek sent off again. The first one was “too clotted” so we’ll see if this one works. I drank more water and moved around a lot before doing the test so hopefully it’ll work. If not, I give up and will just wait for the damn anatomy scan. Unfortunately we don’t have the lab drawn option in Canada.
2. Rants raves feelings
Feeling anxious waiting out my next ultrasound on the 26th. I’ll be 12+2 at that point so I’m hoping I’ll be able to relax a bit then since I’ll be nearly out of the first trimester. Still gaggy/nauseous and tired. Boobs finally feeling a bit better.
3. Have you picked names?
Sort of? If it’s a girl we’re 95% going with Ivy, but Margot and Marren are also in the running as a tribute to my mom. H has said I can pick the first name so long as he can have his grandmothers name as a middle. If we go with Ivy she’d have 2 middle names (my mom’s name and H‘ s grandmothers). DS only has 1 middle name so I don’t know how I feel about it not being “equal.” I don’t want him to feel left out.
For a boy we like Caleb and Calvin but nothing is set in stone yet. We still have plenty of time to decide.
4. What’s your favorite board/card game?
Things gets pretty hilarious with H’s moms side or my friends.

So many of you are so close to having babies! tiptoetulips, I'm sorry you've been pregnant for years, lol! I hope baby comes soon and you have an easy labor and delivery, with or without induction!
achi, I hope your second test comes out and you can find out if baby is a girl or boy! I don't know what the sneak peek test is so I'm not sure how it works! It never occurred to me that the blood testing wouldn't be an option everywhere!

Thank you! In Canada we have the at-home version for the sneak peek (a blood test that looks for male DNA in the mothers blood to determine the baby's sex) but in the states they can go have their blood drawn in a lab for it. I'm not old enough for the NIPT test to be covered by my provincial health care and our benefits don't cover the $800. I'm also not old enough/risky enough to qualify for the harmony test.
I am doing the Enhanced First Trimester Screening which is two blood tests and an enhanced ultrasound to look for downs and the various trisomy factors. That's covered for all pregnant women, but it doesn't determine fetal sex.
achi, Ahhh, how different and complicated having private insurance like we do in the states makes things, lol. I'm lucky my insurance considered the blood draw preventative care regardless of my age, I just have to cover the lab fees for the gender since that is not medically necessary. The 3rd party my provider uses for this test uses a sliding scale and it caps at $200 which is much better than the $2500!!! they charge to insurance.
I could have just waited until the anatomy scan because my ultrasounds are covered in full.... but I'm inpatient and found out early with DD, too, lol! I hope the bloodwork and ultrasound look good and that this time you get the gender results so you don't have to wait! I also hope your nausea starts to subside soon, it's seriously the worst

How are you doing? Did you set your induction date? I hope you are holding (or close to meeting) dd soon!
ETA: Josephine is DD’s middle name! (Fist is Lillian nn Lily.) Nice choice.
