I'm trying to make some final decisions regarding the pantry area. My kitchen is SW Tidewater, the hallway/entry is SW Requisite Gray, and the the LR/DR area is going to be painted SW Opaline (from the kitchen you can see these other spaces). There is currently a door between the kitchen and soon to be pantry, but we're going to widen it, get rid of the door and add an arch. I'm trying to decide what color to paint the pantry area. The cabinets would likely be white, the new back door/garage door/bathoroom door will be white, the trim will all be white, the light fixture and hardware will all be black, and I'm leaning towards the below flooring or something similar for the entire main living area. Would you carry over one of the other colors or use something brand new?
Here is the space now. The 1/2 bath is at the other end and I’m planning a fun wallpaper for in there.
juliachild , I was actually considering SW Cape Verde for the cabinets in the pantry but then realized that H would never go for it LOL I'm wondering now if I should maybe consider it for the walls. I don't want to go super dark in there since it is a pass through space, but I like the idea of a saturated color in the space.

Okay. So much to my surprise, I showed the Cape Verde color to my H this weekend as an option for cabinet color, and he didn't hate it!
So, wwyd? Our current kitchen cabinets are original to our 1970's house and just dark brown, flat fronts, nothing exciting at all. We will eventually be upgrading, but not for another 3-5 years. Though, that may end up being sooner, depends on the cost, as my H will be making all the cabinets and we'll likely keep mostly the same footprint.
Anyway, the pantry cabinets, and new kitchen cabinets eventually, will all be shaker style as will the new vanity in the 1/2 bath that is right off of the new pantry. Do they all need to match in color? Now I'm thinking that I'd like to do either white or grey in the 1/2 bath, the kitchen would likely be all white, and then the pantry either the Cape Verde color or white. If I do white cabinets in the pantry I'd paint the walls the green color, but if I do the green color cabinets, I'd paint the walls Opaline. Would it be okay to have different colors since they are all in such close proximity to each other? Would it be okay to have the pantry be an accent color and then do the 1/2 bath and kitchen white? Am I completely overthinking this? LOL
You don’t need cabinets to match in different rooms. I think putting the green on the cabinets is bolder, and will be more of a pain in the butt to change (painting cabinets is not that fun), but it’s also a fun way to brighten that space and make it yours and I say go for it if you both like it.
