visa gift cards frustration

I have several visa gift cards with small balances on them - like $1.xx, $3.xx, etc.  Is there some way to consolidate card balances? When I try to use them online, I get a message that there is insufficient funds, but it's frustrating to keep them in my wallet unused.
 

(Side note, this is one of the reasons I hate gift cards.  I try to use them right away for the full value, when I know exactly what the value ie, but sometimes that is hard, especially if it's a kids gift or a large amount)

Can you add them to your Amazon gift card balance? That's how I use up those types of gift cards.

Usually the grocery store will take the remaining balance off when I’m checking out

Go to your account and click on "Gift Cards, Review balance or redeem a card" --> "Reload Your Balance" --> Enter the custom amount and add a new credit or debit card. walla!
