Large space multiple area rugs question

We are trying to make our finished basement more functional and friendly. 

The main area is large and kind of a rectangle. I have a large sectional facing a tv/fireplace area with an area rug in the front half of the room. Behind the sectional, I'd like to put a storage piece along one wall, a new rug, and a table/game table. WE have an old table there and it's very functional but we need to replace it with something nicer.

This is the rug I have in the front part of the room, but mine's big.

Should get a matching rug, or something else? I feel like we need some kind of rug there to make it cozier and define the space better.  

Along one side of the room is a bar area, so you can see both areas together. They are two halves of the same big open room. I can't figure out what else I could get that would look right, but it also seems weird to have two sections of the same colorful area rug.

I don’t think I’d do the same rug, but I think I’d look for something just as colorful and maybe even go more saturated.

The other option is to take one colour from the current rug and get something that is plain (or plain-ish).
