I'm moving in the next month, and the kitchen needs a total reno. I would like to get nicer appliances, and am debating getting the GE Cafe line. Does anyone have any experience with these appliances? In my current home, I have the gas Cafe range, and absolutely love it and am sad to leave it behind. Since my new house doesn't have gas, I'd be getting the induction range. I've never used induction before, and would love some feedback!
No help with recs on the Cafe line, but are you able to add a gas line? Our first house had electric only and the first thing we did was run a gas line and replace the appliances.
I have a GE Profile induction cooktop. I love it! I have had it for about 10 years. It has no knobs so it is completely smooth on top. Boils water in about a minute. When you turn it down, the temp adjusts immediately.
ETA: your pots and pans have to be magnetic on the bottom or they won't work. You can check them by putting a magnet to them, if it sticks, you are good.
We went with induction in this house. DH had to talk me into it and I made the builders put in a gas line anyway in case I hated it, LOL. We've had our Samsung model for two years now and have been very happy (despite all the Samsung haters . It heats things up so much more quickly and one of my favorite aspects is how it's SO MUCH EASIER to clean than my old gas range. No amount of scrubbing would get the grills or the pans completely clean after a while, whereas with the induction stove I just wipe it down with a wet cloth and it's like new.
Can't comment on the Cafe line, but induction gets a thumbs up from me.

We are moving to a country property where natural gas isn't available, unfortunately. I'm hoping within the next 10 years, when we build a new house, it will be available on our road.

I currently have All Clad copper core cookware, and it looks like they are induction compatable.
I have a dual fuel Cafe range that I like. My dad has the same one in all gas, and he likes his too. None of my other appliances are Cafe though, so I can only vouch for the ranges.

We have a GE Cafe french door fridge and gas range. Love the range - we've had it for 11.5 years with no issues. We got it with 4 burners and a griddle in the middle and we use the griddle all the time. We also really like the fridge, but we did have to have it serviced a few years ago because the temperature in the fridge would fluctuate up and down. I don't remember what the cost was for repair but it wasn't outrageous.
It was trouble free until just recently when we are having a similar problem with the freezer. It never goes above 12 degrees, but it fluctuates enough that we're occasionally getting a small buildup of ice crystals. Could be the freezer, could be we need to go through and clean it out (which I plan to do), or could be our 11 and 14 year old standing with the freezer drawer open for too long

I can't help you on the GE specifics, but I love our induction cooktop. I was hesitant and really wanted gas, but it's pretty awesome for the reasons everyone else has brought up - quick, responsive, easy to clean. I love the temperature control.
