we have a workbench area in our finished basement. We purchased used cabinets that fit our needs, but they don’t match. Would you try to find replacement drawer fronts to match the raised panels on the left, or just paint the ugly drawers white and call it done?
edit: the curtains are to cover up the ugly area when needed This is also right next to my “office,” so it’s been annoying me for months.
I would think about painting them an accent color so it looks like you aren't even trying to match. :-)
That was actually my first plan. I think I still have a quart of the oil paint I was going to use. 9 years ago. That’s how long it’s been like this. Obviously, we just accept it’s a workbench area, and I just tried to cover it up with curtains. Maybe I should just go with that old plan.

Do it! Paint both them and the pegboard the same color! :-D
