Just seeing where everyone's at.  


I had my egg retrieval yesterday where they got 12 eggs, I'm waiting for them to tell me how many were mature, and fertilized.  Going into retrieval I had 23 follicles however at least 8 of them were over mature and the dr said because of that he couldn't get any eggs out of those but 12 isn't bad for my age (40).  We have to do a freeze all because my estrogen level 2 days before retrieval was over 6500 and the day of retrieval was over 7000.  They're very concerned about OHSS and I'm starting to see the symptoms.  Since yesterday at 10am I've only peed 3 times and I look like I'm' 6 months pregnant because the bloating/swelling.  I  couldn't get my wedding ring on due to swelling either.  The clinic is supposed to call me by end of day today to check in on me and give me the fertilization report. 


Update:  I got my report and of the 12 eggs only 5 were mature but all 5 fertilized.  They're going to push all of them to a day 5 which worries me since I know you generally lose 25-50%.

Had my transfer today. We had 2 euploid embryos left, the first one didn't survive the thawing process, so we transferred the second one, the doc said it looked good and he was happy with my uterus and the transfer. Fingers crossed this one sticks so we dont have to go retrieval again. Beta draw scheduled for the 20th.

We have a second opinion consult scheduled for October 1 to discuss whether this clinic would try/recommend trying IVF with my eggs once before we have to decide whether to move to donor eggs. We're unsure about that, as my H has some notion that if it isn't working naturally, that's my body's way of saying we shouldn't do it. He's very worried about any risks to me.

I would say 12 eggs is amazing at 40, even if they all didn’t mature!

I have my hysteroscopy on Monday in Philly. I didn’t realize they’re only good for about 6 months.
