Definitely on the upswing! Minimal morning gagging/throwing up and energy is getting better. I had GD with DS, so I have to do the 2 hour fasting test this coming weekend. I am not looking forward to that, and am really hoping I don't have it again.
3. How are you planning to decorate the nursery?
I'm doing a Peter Rabbit theme. With DS we did nautical and I thought about reusing the decor, but he loved his crib and didn't transition until after 3 so his sheets and blankets are fairly worn out. Plus I'm kind of over the nautical look.
4. How is your SO handling the pregnancy/prep work, etc?
H is more connected to this pregnancy than he was with DS. I think having a kid already helps since he knows more or less what to expect and that there really will be a tiny human at the end of it all. He does sometimes worry about losing some of the autonomy we've gained back since DS is 5 now and has regular weekend sleepovers at grandmas.
Our 20w ultrasound last week went well and it was really good to see baby girl! I have to go back in 4 weeks because she wouldn't move so they could get clear pictures of her spine and kidneys, but they visualized everything and it looks good! My placenta is low so they also want to check on this next ultrasound in a few weeks (and possibly more later ones) to make sure that it moves up. The nurse at my midwife's office said I have "plenty of time" and right now it wouldn't necessarily rule out a vaginal birth, but it made me have some ~feelings~ last week, for sure! Really, I just want a happy, healthy baby but also selfishly, I had a great experience with L&D with DD1 sooo, I kind of wanted a repeat, lol! I'm feeling better now, but am on pelvic rest (again) for a few more weeks!
3. How are you planning to decorate the nursery?
DD had a woodland theme to her nursery and we'll be transitioning that into her new room. My plans for this nursery are sort of a nebulous "sky" theme. I have a pretty blue I'd like to paint the walls and have found some cute cloud sheets & rainbow sheets. I found some really cute cloud shelves at target & Hobby Lobby and some sweet art with suns, stars & moons.
4. How is your SO handling the pregnancy/prep work, etc? DH is really good and is always supportive but he definitely admits to not feeling a whole lot of anything while I'm pregnant because it's more something I'm experiencing while he just stands on the sideline. Now that we have DD I think it helps him to know more about what's going to happen and he gets all excited about the stuff and firsts we get to do again. He's seriously the best dad and is so good and helpful with me, making sure I have what I need, feel well, and am taking care of myself. Sweet man got up with DD yesterday, did all the laundry, mowed the lawn, cooked dinner and did bath time solo so I think I'll keep him, hah!
achi, I'm glad you're starting to feel better - Morning sickness is no joke! Crossing my fingers for you! that you're GD test comes back all good!

1. How far along are you? Team? 20+3, boy.
2. Rants, raves, feelings? I'm still not sleeping well and just generally kind of down, but no complaints in the pregnancy realm other than constant exhaustion.
3. How are you planning to decorate the nursery? Travel themed. Neutral wall, colorful decor. DH and I traveled a lot before we had DS1, and even with him until C19, so it feels like the right thing. We're going to frame some international currency, too, to make it really personal. One of my best friends painted DS1's room for us last time, and she's been generous enough to offer to do this one too (and I'm so thankful).
We thought for like two seconds about moving DS1 into a new "big boy room" instead of keeping him where he is, but we made his nursery so intentionally for him that I just couldn't do it.
4. How is your SO handling the pregnancy/prep work, etc? He's excited. He's not quite as good at planning as I am, and he's a bit more of a procrastinator on things around the house, but I don't have the energy to worry about it right now lol. We have multiple house projects on deck before DS2 arrives in January (DS2's nursery, conversion of a junk room into a guest room, conversion of a guest room on our main living level into a playroom for DS1 and DS2, and trying to get the basement insulated/drywalled at minimum) so I'm trying to take it one manageable project at a time and drag DH along as I can.
achi -- I'm glad you're feeling better! FX for a good GD result.
corgimom -- I'm glad everything looked good at the ultrasound, and I hope your next few scans go well!
lovesherheels, Thanks! I'm sure they will go fine but definitely had me feeling a little stressed and emotional! I made them double check that the genetic test was right and baby is, in fact, a girl. This pregnancy is has been so different from my pregnancy with DD1 that I didn't quite believe it was another girl, lol!
I'm sorry you're feeling down and exhausted! I hope those things turn around for you!

1. Iβm a day behind, but 32w2d team blue
2. I am just TIRED. A (male) friend asked me how I was doing and I said I was tired, and got a condescending βoh. Oh honey. You know youβre gonna have 2 kids now right?β Fuck off.
3. Poor DS. DD had a well thought out animal themed nursery and DS has a very hodge podge, sort of elephant theme in his room. We basically just hung up a bunch of random things this time π
4. DH is like Ricky Bobby and doesnβt know what to do with his hands. He hasnβt had to do much this time around (he put the pictures up and hung a curtain rod, thats about it), he canβt come to my OB visits, so heβs like twiddling his thumbs waiting for the baby to be here so he can be useful.

To the bolded: SAME. Lol. I did the same thing about having a second boy.
corgimom - thanks! I hope your placenta moves enough. I don't think it's selfish at all. A c-section is major surgery.
lovesherheels - Ugh, I am not looking forward to drinking that horrible syrup on an empty stomach. I am legit afraid it might come back up. Your nursery sounds super cute! I love the idea of framing money from different places you've travelled.
tacoflavoredkisses - I probably would have junk punched your friend. We ALL realize that we'll be tired after baby comes.
