I have ZERO ideas for H which is really weird. He just got a new Garmin because his old one was dying and we have a newly outfitted home gym. We both want an indoor bike but not sure I want to spend $500+ right now.
I would love a peloton, but one, not sure where we could put it and two, I would prefer to get something we would both use, which I'm not sure DH will.

Now that I'm exercising pretty regularly, I'm dying for an Apple Watch. I may ask DH to make it my Christmas gift in September because I'm not sure I can wait until Christmas lol.
I have no idea what he wants but he's on a fitness kick too so I'll think of something. He's not into Apple products so I'll have to check out some other brands.
This is the first year we're doing gifts for each other in a looooooong time or else I wouldn't be asking for $$$ stuff.
DH is also an impossible to shop for husband and gives no good ideas. Last year (or the year before) I got him a weighted blanket since he has problems falling/staying asleep and it went over well!
I am having DD2 in late January so my wishlist is mostly comfy pajamas, lounge clothes and some switch games. I have a separate list for DH and have some things like a pair of Rothys or Allbirds flats, some subscription boxes I think would be fun and some links to etsy vendors for some custom art.

DH is not a fan of apple products, either but he has a Galaxy Active 2 (I think?) and really likes it. It's replaced his actual watches - he liked it because 1. fun, shiny technology and 2. he uses it to track his workouts.
Iām getting my H a virtual bike fitting for the Peloton (since theyāre booked six months out...). Not sure what else so far.
Itās a bummer but I am wholly not feeling Christmas this year. Usually by now I am.
Yeah. I get you. DD and I were in Costco on Saturday and all the Christmas trees were up. She squealed and started talking about how excited she was and how we should put our tree up early so we have something fun and festive in such a bad year and I'm like all meh. I hate feeling that way. I'm usually way into all the holidays. Hopefully the Christmas spirit will come and DD is right.
We donāt usually exchange big Christmas gifts, but weāre planning to buy a new TV. Weāll be looking for any Black Friday type deals so hopefully weāll find something good. Otherwise, no clue haha.
Me: Cozy house slippers New makeup brushes (picked from a specific list I will provide to H) Gift card for spa time for whenever I feel its safe to use it
Him: Beef jerky that I have to order from the other side of the country. ??
I feel super lost for ideas for so many people this year. We often do a lot of experience type gifts, so given the current situation....
No idea - my birthday is coming up and MH asked for suggestions, and the only thing I could think of was a mug that can keep my coffee hot (not a travel mug, something that looks like a regular coffee cup).
Iād like boots but I donāt know what I want. Wide calf boots, brown, that wonāt Buckle around my ankles and are comfortable. I have a beast of a time finding comfy shoes.
For MH ... not too many ideas. A replacement ball cap, beer/coffee, cordless drill battery maybe? If heās still WFH in December maybe a desk chair and ear buds.

Look into Garmin, for real. I much prefer my Garmin to the Apple Watch if you're using it for exercise. It doesn't have to be charged every night (mine is every 5-6 days if I workout M-F) and it is so information rich. My H just upgraded to the Vivoactive 4 and I am jeaaaaaaalous but I still love my Forerunner 235 2 (3?) years later.

I'll take a look! I had Garmin running watches years ago but didn't think about that option since I have everything Apple these days lol. I'm not necessarily looking for anything that connects to my phone so this could be a good option for me.

Are you the person who posted about the bike trail in the kids post too? Iāve been wondering - what are you doing exactly? Are you paving around the yard?

If you're not looking for something that connects to your phone this may be irrelevant, but ... I'll also put in a vote for a Garmin. I have the vivomove HR. It works really nicely for me for everyday life and at work (back when the office was a thing lol) because it doesn't scream "Garmin" or other fitness watch even though it tracks all the expected things like steps, distance, active minutes, heart rate/stress, etc. Honestly people are always surprised it was a smart watch, if that's a factor for you. š It connects really nicely with my phone (though I know that's not necessarily something you want).
As a warning, though, the vivomove HR doesn't have live GPS tracking, so when I go for a run and want active GPS, I use my Garmin running watch. (I didn't care about that and it works fine for me, but may be annoying.)
Velar Fricative, another vote for Garmin watches. I'm an Apple person and I had an Apple Watch and I hated it. I got the Garmin vivoactive3 last summer and I love it.
Another pair of Target Stars Above pajamas, a good chefās knife, a couple pairs of earrings from Nickel & Suede, a long-sleeved workout top, some fun face masks, maybe a certificate to get my car detailed. I have always wanted to do it, but Iām never wanting to spend the money.
H wants a tow hitch installed on his Jeep. I am pretty sure he will not use it one time ever, but whatever.
At our previous house, we had a trail made of bender board and compacted DG. It was pretty good, but my kid liked to dig in the DG and it got messy. Here, we are hoping to install a path made of wooden planks, sort of like a deck (no stairs like the pic, obviously, lol). Or weāll do the same DG as a back up.

We're not going back to the gym for the foreseeable future and H had been using the elliptical a lot since he hasn't been able to run so we're looking at getting one for a bday/Christmas gift for him.

For my H: The LEGO Nintendo classic/Mario/tv set - I try to buy him a big LEGO set every year for Christmas. His brother passed away 2 years ago from brain cancer. His brother LOVED LEGO, he was even a programmer for some of their video games and our wedding presents from him is a portrait of us made from legos. After his brother died, my H took possession of all of his brotherās builds and finished each of the ones that BIL didnāt get to, including a massive millennium falcon. Itās therapeutic for him, I think. Last year, FIL got H a rollercoaster LEGO and H put a motor in it so the cars go automatically š our house is basically a childrenās museum.
Los Pollos Hermanos shirt A panini press (heās been lamenting about how he misses college because he didnāt know how good he had it with a cafeteria that had a panini press, lol!) Undies and socks And one more thing + stocking, havenāt decided yet. We usually do 5 under the tree (3 from Santa, 2 from me), 1 little silly gift in the stocking with candy.

For me:
If the shirt is funny, buy it. I want the new Bodega Cats grocery-walking-cat design, the Fat Bear Week winner shirt (really hope itās 747 this year!), and Iām trying to decide which Dodgers ānice swing, bitchā shirt I like the most.
Iām also hoping for seeds. I am expanding my veggie garden next year and love it when I get seeds of weird things Iāve never grown before. The local fair trade store has also put out a preview of their nativity designs this year (I collect nativities from different countries/cultures) and there are a few that Iāve convinced myself I will die without š Iām not even religious. Itās ridiculous! But I love all my little different holy families.
We are samsung family, but I'm thinking about getting an apple phone for H because he really wants an apple watch with a heart monitor. He has been having heart problems and apple watches are the only ones that will help monitor a-fib. He really wants one. (how is that for an old person reason to want something that is otherwise a cool gift...)
If that doesn't work out, then we'll probably just skip gifts. We have spent an ungodly amount of money on home projects this year, with more to come within the next few months.
