Starting today, it’s officially fall. What ya got? In progress, completed, or even ideas, show us!
Also, for those having problems uploading pics, I prefer to read the boards on the web phone platform, but the Tapatalk app is great for uploading pictures straight from your phone (if they are small enough). I really only use it for that.

Masks and backpack tags in process. I have aspirations to make a Noodlehead Explorer bag for a friend, but currently having trouble choosing a canvas fabric for the main body of the bag.

I am so happy with the bags I"m sewing now. I'm halfway through two rianbow bags, and I want to finish them today but Im' so very tired I think it's going to have to wait until my day off on Wednesday (toddler who isn't napping combined with my own inability to sleep from anxiety).
Mostly just played with this to see how things would come out. This has been sitting on my crafting table for a few weeks, and the stripes sat there for a few months. I’m stuck on how to get the O in there with the slice-type method I used on the others without having the stripes shift too much. I may end up appliqué-ing a heart in, but if someone has any other ideas, I’d love to hear them. Ready to finish our yard project so I can spend more time cross-stitching and quilting. I did get in part of a foundation paper piecing project in yesterday in the heat of the day, so that was nice.

Christina Cameli (afewscraps.com) has a tutorial for sewing in circles using freezer paper and a zipper foot. I'm blocked from her site on my work computer or else I'd try and find the blog. You basically adhere the freezer paper to the circle, iron back the 1/4" seam allowance on both pieces, then sew using a zipper foot. She demoed it as part of her wedge tutorial.

I'll help you pick!
Please! She loves this one, but the butterflies are 6" and the middle panel is just barely that big. She described her style as gothic, but not goth. Oddities, tarot cards, ravens, etc.

And she loves a dark teal waxed canvas for the bottom.
I immdiately thought of this fabric: zorellefabrics.com/collections/pre-sale/products/halloween-2035 catch is that it's a preorder, so 12 weeks minimum until you get your hands on it. I don't remember when the order closes. I'm trying to find a picture that shows the scale, I know I've seen it in the FB group.
ETA:
shortcake2675, here's the pic I was thinking of. This is the boardwarlk bucket bag from needle and anchor

Oh I bet we could find something there. But I haven’t heard great things about spoonflower fabric, but then again, it’s going to be a spot clean bag, so maybe it doesn’t matter.
I see lots of good prints on spoonflower. I know they get a lot of hate, but I'm kinda neutral to them. I did order some canvas last year to make B a messenger bag. It wasn't quite as saturated in color as I would have liked, which is a common complaint I've heard about them. I washed the fabric before using it, and so far it seems like it has faded a little with use, but not horribly. I just pulled out a scrap that was in a cabinet and compared it to the bag, and there's a slight fading, but it's not super noticeable. The bag has been in heavy use by an 8 year old. I hear their processing time has come down, too.
YALL. THIS IS THE DOUBLE PROJECT I'VE BEEN DYING TO FINISH AND SHARE WITH YALL. I have been thinking about this since I bought the rainbow plaid and then saw the pattern online. I knew I had to make these. The topstitching on the black one went a little sideways. and the straps on both are... less than stellar since I'm just using a lackluster domestic machine. BUT I STILL LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

Those are amazing mala! Now I just want to go and make bags!
I did make one pencil case when DD’s was sent home for being too distracting (oh the joys of kindergarten). I used noodle heads free pencil case pattern and just sized it up a bit.
I’m also 3/4 of the way through the Snowflake Quilt Along by Modern Handcraft. This was made using all scraps from my excessive collection of blues and teals/aquas and is so satisfying to put together. I am very excited to have a Christmas/Winter quilt this year!
I made my biggest batch of soap to date. It was about 4 gallons of soap batter. I used almost all the coconut oil I just bought and now I need to buy more. It's coffee scented. I'll post a picture when I cut the soap tomorrow. Oh man does it smell good though.
Made a Wallet, my first one, this we just to test the pattern and I got the fabrics backwards from what I intended, but by the time I realized I just rolled with it.
And here's a picutre of the coffee soap I made for my friend (who's going to give them out as xmas gifts).

Omg mala. How many pockets are in there? Wow. It looks great.
I’ve been dealing with a pretty critical health issue, which means I got to spend 8 hours in a hospital waiting room on Friday waiting for surgery. Everyone there commented on my high speed knitting and homemade mask and mask strap. Fun times. My arm is maybe sorer than it should be since I had an IV in the crook of my elbow, but I was still able to knit pretty well.

A work friend saw a baby quilt I designed and made, and loved it (there are only the two of us who work in the trades, so she's really decorated the locker room, while I've put up a couple things, this baby quilt included). Her grandson's birthday is coming up, so I offered to make her a larger one to give to him (I really needed a reason to get my quilting mojo going again). I had most of the pieces already cut since I had been planning to do a second one anyway, so I was able to whip it together in four nights (including washing and drying). I left it in the locker room at work for her, and probably won't see her until late next month, but really hope her grandson likes it.
I forgot to take a close up photo of the dragon. It's the same as the first one, just a little bigger, and the applique stitching is a blanket stitch instead of the zigzag I did on the first one, making it much cleaner looking.
It's not as wavy as it looks, the hallway has a very powerful fan blowing through it... Finished size was about 44" by 62" (I added one more row than planned, but it came out a nice size I think).

4 card slotsx2 on each pocket, x 2 pockets. so 16 total. Way more than I need and Now I'm thinking I'll cut that down to reduce some bulk if I make another one for me. 2 slip pockets that are big enough for a phone and one zip pocket. I might add a second zip pocket next time too. Sorry for your health troubles
ETA it's the worsley wallet from hold it right there patterns
This is up on my design wall for the 2nd time this year. I’ve been working on it about a year. I initially did random scraps to make is super scrappy, but the colors really clashed, so I’ve pulled the worse offenders out and am getting close. I welcome any feedback on colors and placement. I have plenty of scraps to rework things with.
Besides the election, pandemic, remote schooling, and the current chaos of our world this quilt is what is currently keeping me up at night 😜.
Members of my quilt guild put together a few wedge curves and I am now attempting to piece them together for our submission to Quilt Con’s charity quilt challenge. The theme is curves and the color palette is oranges and blues.
I’m following Sheri Lynn Wood’s Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters.
I want to make a bag now that I e seen all of the great versions here!

The only thing I might change is the brown square in the bottom center. A bright green or yellow would finish that nicely.

@ribiakt I love the quilt! I took one of Sherri-Lynn’s first classes at Quiltcon in 2015. Her techniques and approach to quilting are very different than what I am used to as an enginerd. I only contributed blocks to my guild’s quilt this year. I’m glad I don’t have to put it together since I imagine it will be a mess of Y-seams. I’ve put together three of them in the past so I figured I would let someone else have the pleasure this year. That’s a great use of the colours though. It really pops.

Michelle my Mom brought back a pile of heavily starched cotton from one of her trips to Botswana, which I assume might be similar. It was a coarser weave than quilting cotton, and slightly heavier, but not as heavy or as coarse as canvas, for instance. You could definitely use it for a quilt. We mostly used it for table runners and some cushions. I would back it with something different (normal quilting cotton, flannel or minky) so it would be a bit softer. I would also maybe bind it in quilting cotton for a baby.
