Dear Microsoft updates Stop the Fing updates that mess with our network settings. Spending my morning fixing the settings so that our computers talk to each other me

Dear Friend,
I'm annoyed that you won't get your child tested for COVID when he has all the classic COVID symptoms. I know it's not the most pleasant test, but given that your child was in a classroom with 22 other kids all week, including my DS, wouldn't that be the responsible thing to do? I mean, if he does have it, then the class needs to self-isolate now.
Dear website roll out, You're killing me. Death by a thousand paper cuts over here. I have waaaaaay too much other work to be getting done this week to keep playing whack a mole with your stupid tweaks. Signed, UGHGHGHGHGHG
Dear coworkers, Chill out. Nothing is broken. It is just different. Use your sales skills to spin these website changes when you talk to customers. Don't complain about it to them! Signed, We're supposed to be a team!
Hey, good for you for shutting down the Upper School now that it appears we are having a full-blown outbreak (up to 10 kids just this week!). Here’s an idea: properly contact trace. You can’t say an infectious student was at school but since everyone is supposed to wear masks, that doesn’t count. It counts.
Mother of Third Grader Whose Class is Half Its Normal Size
Dear Covid Denier/Open the School No Matter What Assholes of Third Grade Parents:
Hahahahaha!!!! Your kids are the ones quarantined. Because you won’t make your kids wear masks when they’re together and you do a gazillion after school activities together. I hope they all stay healthy, or don’t get too sick, but I also hope you are inconvenienced as all hell.
Signed, My Kid Isn’t Quarantined
PS To the parent who is trying to get a public chool board member fired for saying rich folks have an outsized voice in this decision, I am considering going to the paper and leaking that your kid is quarantined. Because you are incredibly irresponsible and a bitch to boot.
Dear preschool parent of a kid in my sons’s class,
You sent your kid to school Monday morning with symptoms noticeable enough that the staff called you within 15 minutes to come get your kid? WTF? Now my kid has to stay home for two weeks because your daughter tested positive.
Signed, I do hope she’s ok, and yes I figured out from the sign in sheet which kid was only there for 30 minutes Monday, so I know who you are
Dear Covid test for my 3-year old,
Please come back negative. I would be shocked if my kid’s interaction with the infected kid would meet the CDC definition of exposure (outdoor with a bunch of kids running around in a large playground area) but I’m still nervous.
Sighed, I knew it was only a matter of time with four kids out in the world

twinmomma , unfortunately we don't have a school nurse. I'm just really disappointed. I mean, yes, getting a test is an inconvenience - but if her kid is positive, then the whole class really should know and start isolating NOW. And this may be b*tchy of me - but she's a SAHM with one kid, so it's not like there's some logistical issue.
In talking to DH, he thinks we should get DS tested. DS has no symptoms at all, but he is really good friends with the other kid and they paly at recess/lunch/in-class a lot. And DS is in hockey and other activities, so we'd hate for him to be an asymptomatic carrier spreading it further.
My 2nd grader has no assignments being collected this week because the "teacher doesn't need assignments to assess a child." As of yesterday, she had completed 2 pages of her mathbook and done no other work for the week because "nothing was assigned."
WHY THE HELL DOES NO ONE ANSWER THE *$$&@*@($ PHONE?!?!?!?! I have been calling multiple times for the past two days trying to get you all to cancel my dad's check since he passed away on Tuesday. You would think that there would be a dedicated phone number on your website to report incidents like this, but NOOOOOO!!! Clearly this system was created by men. I have never tried to do something so simple that has been made so difficult, and it is extremely frustrating! Get your shit together and answer my damn phone calls!!!

When my mom died, her checks were automatically stopped. I guess her social security number was linked to her death certificate? Maybe one less thing to do?
drjeep what # are you calling? Try 800-772-1213. I don't know how local offices are currently operating with the pandemic.
Thank you!!!! I didn't even think about calling the national number. I've been trying to call the local office because that's who my dad always dealt with and keep having to go through push button menu options and then being transferred to different people who keep saying they are sending me to "the person" who deals with that, but I never get to that actual person. Thanks so much!!

That makes sense. I didn't think about that. His death certificate hasn't been processed yet, and the funeral home said something about us contacting social security because my dad gets his from military and something else (don't remember what) so they said it could take longer if we don't contact them first. I have no idea why, but I'm just following their advice. I'm also in the process of trying to close bank accounts but still need them open for a little bit to pay for funeral stuff but just getting initial paperwork done. Thanks for the help!
