Have yall heard about hobby lobbys latest shit?

It's no secret that I hate hobby lobby ever since their shit about not providing birth control and the founders shady dealings came to light. But now they've given me another reason to hate them. I have no solid evidence to link to (my source is facebook) but appretnly they're coppy-catting yarn colorway's from indi dyers and having them mass produced in other countries. What. The. Shit.

I saw that on the Three Irish Girls Insta! That sort of thing happens to indie designers all time and it sucks. A friend of mine is a successful illustrator and Zara (and Francesca’s!) made near exact copies of enamel pins she had made of her work.

It’s really hard for these smaller shops to go up against these big companies. I bet it is even harder to prove intent for items like yarn because it’s color ways and not something as easily distinctive and unique as an illustration. So many indie designers make similar yarns it would be difficult to know who came first and who just had the same idea unknowingly etc I think Hobby Lobby closely monitors indie trends then copies it.

I have been following. I adore Lemonade Shop and their yarn. I hated Hobby Lobby before, but this has solidified for me that I will never, ever, ever shop there.
