A while ago I posted that I impulse-bought 100 crocus corms. I planted them today, starting in the backyard around a big tree we had there, and the moving to the front yard to plant them all along the edge of the flowerbed. By the time I went back into the backyard to water them my dog had dug up every. single. spot! Looks like she thought it was a fun little scavenger hunt for her. And here I thought maybe the ones in the back would be safer from squirrels because of the dog roaming around back there. I might have just spent $50 on expensive dog toys and squirrel food from Amsterdam.
Also, random question...they'll still come up if they have a thin layer of mulch over them, right?

Yeah, we could never get crocuses to grow because our dog would dig them up and eat them (which is not good for the dog - so we ended up digging them up and giving them away so that our dog wouldn't end up dying).
Oh no! I'm totally laughing because this is something my dog would do, but I would be so mad. Luckily? My dogs mostly stopped digging stuff up, now they're just trying to dig to the center of the earth next to my Bilco doors and I've given up trying to fill in the hole because they just keep digging it out. Even the puppy is in on it now. Sigh.
