What are some items you would love to have but can't justify the price (or just flat out can't afford?) I've been dreaming and lustibg over a full set of Indian Lake Artisans hexagonal needles. I own a set of size 2 but that's it.

I bought my dream embroidery machine in the spring, a Brother Dream Creator XE VM5100. I'd love a rack for my big rolls of vinyl. A Cameo 4? I'm pretty well set tbh.
DH and I were discussing hobby spending and he honest to god said to me that he’s always surprised at how restrained I am and that he sort of expects me to spend more. I don’t know which way I should take that. We need to save for retirement so I have money to blow on fun stuff when I’ve got the time DH!
I’m dying for a serger, but it’s not in the budget right now.
I would love to upgrade my embroidery machine to a 6 or 10 needle.
And while I don’t have space in my current craft area, I wish I had a large, work-height table topped with a cutting mat. I currently use our kitchen table (counter height) and that works pretty well, it would just be nice to have it all in one space.
I mean, if we’re going for DREAMZ I wish we could finish our basement so that I could properly build-in/build up my craft space. I have ideas for a full wall of cabinets, machine and supply storage, and mixed-height workspaces. But we are years away from that project!

Ooh. I wonder if I could use a projector for my patterns if I’d sew more clothing.

I'm not working with any super fussy filament these days, so I haven't bothered, but, I love DIY solutions to problems (and wishes).
And I really hear you on that magic counter. Sometimes I just want to do a giant arm sweep...
Yes! We got our Prusa set up last weekend. Still fiddling with all the settings to get it printing perfectly. We are focusing first on "fun" things so that we don't care too much if they don't turn out just right. We've made player dashboards for our favorite games, minis to replace cardboard standees, phone holders, etc. I love that our middle daughter is starting to play around in CAD to try and customize basic items. She never had any interest in taking an afterschool program or summer camp for 3d printing, but now that it's on our counter and "real" she's suddenly interested in learning the programming to print ❤
Thanks for the heat box link, I'll check it out. Our friends with printers all recommend them since it is so humid here (PNW).

That's so awesome, I hope you all love it as much as we do (especially your daughter- that's so sweet)!
Go ahead and add more surface space to your wish list, because printers tend to multiply. We are up to 6, we got our first resin printer a month ago (and it's like a whole different game, I feel brand new)!
I would love an Erlbacher circular sock knitting machine. One day I will own one!
Someone on my local FB crafting board has one and sells so many socks at craft fairs and online. Initially I just thought she was the fastest knitter ever. I then realized she was doing demonstrations at craft fairs (in the before times).
A room of all my own, not just a space in the corner of the utility room in the basement. Apparently I also need to save for a mid-grade replacement sewing machine. Mine still works great, but if I felt I needed to upgrade, it is way more than I anticipated.

I am thinking about a machine that can do embroidery or a cricut. I’d have several uses for both but no time or space.
ETA. I just bought a silhouette cameo 4! I can’t wait to get started with it! It seemed like a better fit for what we want than the Cricut maker so fingers crossed! DH and I can both use it for things and just by printing vinyl numbers I’ll save myself some money every year since Dh won’t have to buy them elsewhere for $2-3 per number.
first and foremost, a dedicated crafting/sewing room, with: * serger * large cutting table (like 3' x 6') * projector to mount above the cutting table * Cricut Maker, in purple tyvm * a new color printer for cut and print projects * heat press * wool pressing mat--my MIL LOVES hers! * a better iron * all the storage for all the things * lots and lots of hand dyed wool, since I am now learning to crochet as well as sew. I just bought 3 skeins for like $100. 1 skein is just to mend a pair of wool pants for my kid. the other 2 are to make a pair of socks for me and maybe some mittens?
Costco has a crafting station that looks pretty cool, and much less $$. I’d love to get it, but I don’t feel like I have a good space in the house for it right now.

I also want: Cricut upgrade to Maker Heat press Wood laser cutter
And if we’re dreaming, I’d love a craft shed in the back yard, with heat/ac, tv, coffee pot, mini fridge, plus all my supplies. Lol.
I’m waiting for tires at Costco and it occurred to me to ask. They said that they’re scheduled to get them in the warehouse soon. He couldn’t tell for certain so he told me to keep checking in. His guess was a couple of weeks. In warehouse price is $399.

Thanks! That’s $100 less than the website. Maybe I can do some rearranging in the house...I’d feel better spending that kind of money if I could see the piece in person first, too 😊

Yeah. I’m wondering how much of a pain getting it home will be. Based on the reviews, it sounds like it comes in one giant, heavy box. But I am looking forward to seeing it in person.
