Freaking out- Zoom related

I was in a meeting but watching TikTok instead. I had my headset mic muted and muted in Zoom. Somehow they heard me though! The chat was blowing up for me to stop watching TikTok.

I have no idea how it happened. If I was unmuted in Zoom, can it override my headset mute? Ahhhh help!!!!

If the space bar is accidentally pressed for too long, it unmutes you. Is it possible that happened?

There’s a setting to share computer audio in zoom vs just having the mic. I just looked but can’t find it when I’m not sharing something in a meeting.

My mom was on a training call and a guy brought his laptop into the bathroom and they watched him pee on the call, with penis in full view. And then he didn’t wash his hands.

One time, I thought that I was on mute, and I started humming during a meeting. I have a bad habit where I hum when I am concentrating on things. I manage to not do this when I am at work in person, I think. However, I have been doing it a lot more now that I have been working from home the past 6 months. People started commenting on it. However, I don't think that anyone figured out that it was me. I quickly muted myself.

I've been in Zoom meetings where 5 seconds of a barking dog results in the chat room blowing up - if there's 25 people in the meeting, 20 of them will feel the need to post a comment about it.   So it might not have even been that long.  I hope not, for OP's sake!

Sorry, no advice, just sympathy. I've never understood how it works if both your headset and your computer have mute buttons...does one counteract the other or are you double-muted at times?
