Has anyone had issues where it’s in and comfortable enough but then like 3 hours later suddenly it’s uncomfortable? Almost like it drops too low?
Also it’s comfortable for the most part except I have a spin bike and it’s not comfortable on the bike. normal? Do I need to switch to a tampon?
I kind of feel like I can’t get it high enough but the instructions say it should be lower than a tampon.
If you do kegals does it shift down?
I feel like I’m doing something wrong. 🤔
I have been using tampons with no issues for like 20 years so I find it weird that I can feel the cup. I’m wondering if maybe that’s normal. If it is I’m going to need to go back to tampons. Sorry, environment.
Also these cups are expensive enough I’m not really sure I’m interested in trying other brands.
I found that it was much different after kids because of my cystocele. I've been using it for over 10 years and I love it, but it is much different after kids.
I also wear mine super high, I like to shove it up there. I don't use a diva cup specifically but you can cut the nubbin off if it's bothering you.
You can choose how far up it goes?? Mine is higher or lower depending on the position of my cervix in the beginning or end of my period. But I can’t just decide to put it up high or lower. I’m sort of intrigued by this.

I have 2 kids but they were both c/s babies. I already cut like 70% of the nubbin off. Might shave some more off.

That being said, do you need to trim the stem?
Not really. I always feel like I put it high but it gets pushed down. I have trimmed like 70% off.

Maybe you just need to be more high strung and constantly clenched up as tight as possible like me 😂
But seriously, whoever said they just shove it up, yep. Like, one foot on the tub, one braced for impact, and push with all your might, lol. I have to make sure it doesn’t open before it’s up super high, or else there’s a horrendous vacuum situation that is likely to turn me inside out.
If it’s too low-slung though, I’d think a different shape is in order.

You can still have pelvic floor dysfunction even with c/s! You might be having issues if it keeps "falling down". I was using a super jennie due to my flow but now that I have a mirena I've gone back to a smaller cup.
I wore the Diva Cup comfortably for years with no issues, and then sometime in my mid-late 30s my body just changed (no kids) and it started wanting to sit lower and I kept getting stabbed by the stem, so I eventually cut off the entire stem and that fixed about 75% of the problem. It's still not as comfortable as it once was, but tampons were always miserably uncomfortable to me, so I'm still better off. But I've also always worn it higher than "they" say you're supposed to, it just naturally moves up.
Now that they seem to have reusable disc styles I kind of want to switch (I used the Instead disposable discs before switching to the Diva Cup), but I skip the majority of my periods these days with my NuvaRing anyway, and it hasn't seemed worth it.
There's basically no nub on mine. I cut it off because it was bothering me. Like others, I push it up pretty high. Every once in awhile I have issues with it being uncomfortable when I'm sitting or during exercise, but mostly it isn't an issue. I don't feel like it fits any differently post-kids than it did pre-kids. Like you, both my kids were c-section babies.
Diva cup was never comfortable for me. My cervix is quite low on my period and the cup (in the smaller size) was just too long for me. Trimming the stem didn't help either. I ended up trying a moon cup and it made a world of difference. I can't feel it at all.

I’m a little worried this may be the case. I feel like my body just wants to push it out. Like it will be fine and dandy and then boom! It’s too low and uncomfortable.
I want to try a menstrual cup, but based on these comments, I feel like it might not work for me.... even with tampons i have trouble getting them up high enough to sit comfortably.

Short vaginas for the win?

For the life of me, i cannot get a tampon up high enough. I love my cup. I’d give one a try! You never know!

I never, ever found a tampon comfortable. I've been using a cup for over 10 years. I love it so much.
I bought the Divacup and within the last 6 months, I have started to have leaking issues. I don't know why, it was fine for the last few years. I wear my cup low and the stem is cut all the way down/off.
I had the Mooncup prior and regret being lazy waiting for it to come through customs. It's a European brand and fit the best @@pre kid.
I found this website helpful, they have a quiz and a cup comparison chart to compare what you have against other recommendations: putacupinit.com/quiz/
I never used the Divacup. I like the Lunette. I have seen the pictures and the height of the Divacup might be a problem for me. I have also tried discs but they do not work at all for me, they basically just end up pouring out.
As for tips on the menstrual cup bandwagon, my biggest suggestion to anyone is to have a toothpick handy because I find that the airholes tend to get filled and when that happens I always end up with terrible cramps.
For years I've wondered: How are these not the messiest things ever and terribly unsterile unsanitary? It just seems like blood would get *everywhere.*
