Hoping it’s ok to re-join here. I posted sporadically over the last few years as we were going through our IF journey, but I cannot for the life of me remember my screen name or log in! I have gone through my emails, tried all the usual combos, etc. Bizarro!
Anyhow, I have a 1 year old thanks to IVF after 3 years of IF and a miscarriage. We are gearing up for a FET next cycle, getting all the bloodwork and a saline sonogram done this cycle. It was a really tough choice whether or not to do an ERA, ultimately we opted not too and I am somewhat doubting the decision
This board was such a great resource last time around, and I hope I can help others out!
I’m actually doing an ERA this upcoming cycle and then a donor embryo transfer in December (at least we are planning on it being back-to-back).
Did you opt not to do it for cost?
Best of luck to you. I hope your stay is short.
Hi! Not so much the cost although that’s definitely a consideration - my Dr said that the ERA is supposed to be good for 30 months and we’re still within that time frame. Their practice is also part of a clinical trial on the value of repeat ERAs for women who have had a pregnancy in between. Of the 10 women they’ve done so far, 8 had the same result as their previous ERA. So hopefully we can still go by my previous results. If the first transfer doesn’t work we can do an ERA before the next one. I know we made the decision based on sound reasoning, but it still makes me nervous!
Good luck with yours, that’s exciting to be so close!

Ah ok, so that makes sense. I didn't realize you had had one previously nor did I know they lasted for 30 months!
